I have read the FAQ, and the Survival FAQ, but some things are still unclear to me. Keep in mind that I use a screenreader, so it may be that some of these questions are about things my software may be misinterpreting.

  1. Just beneath the submenus at the top of the page, there is a number. It doesn't link to anything. It is slowly going up. It's 59 right now. Can anyone tell me what that might be? Maybe events that are occurring?

  2. If you are not infected in the survival holiday, does kissing people do anything beneficial for you or them? I have clicked "kiss" links, but I don't notice any change, and I don't see any candy hearts.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

  1. that sounds like it would be the clock at the top of the page. it's just a regular little javascript clock that ticks up every second.

  2. kissing gives candy hearts to both the person giving the kiss and the person receiving the kiss. it doesn't matter if you're infected or not. the notification for kissing and receiving candy hearts is a modal popup, which might not be readable by your screenreader. you can turn the candy hearts in and spend them at the l'amour parlour, which is linked from the home page.
