Hey everyone! It's been a busy month, so I thought I'd make a BIG update post just going over it all.
Survival: Things to Know
Avatars All known avatar issues were fixed before Survival! Hexes were fixed completely; This means things like kisses, snowballs, etc will all show up immediately on your HA when you get them and expire correctly. We've also fixed several cache issues with avatars not updating. Now, whenever a change is made to your avatar (whether it be changing an outfit or getting a hex somewhere), that change should show up within a few seconds at most. Items added to your wardrobe will also show up in your wardrobe right away.
Pet Spotlight The code for Pet Spotlight has been entirely fixed. Thanks for bearing with us as we tested it this weekend! Now, we are just going through our backlog of winners who didn't get news posts, and once these are done, it will be back to normal operations :)
Shoutbox This was disabled because we found it was causing significant site-wide lag. I've noticed a few rumors going around about this, so I wanted to clear this up: We are actively working to resolve this, because, like you, we don't want to have to disable the Shoutbox during holidays. We aren't planning to just close it during holidays and call the problem solved. However, right now, it needs to stay disabled out of necessity. If we reopened it, the entire site may crash and become unusable, including the SB itself. I'll do my best to keep you updated as we keep working on this issue.
Daily Resets and other Daily Tasks We have been working on issues with things not resetting correctly at midnight, for example: quests, recycle beast smelter, ZWE betting, Mystery shop, and the Rift. I've made some major behind-the-scenes changes to make the coding behind this simpler and more reliable. At this point in time, we think everything at midnight is fixed and is now working correctly. However, I'll be watching it to make sure. Please post on the following topic if you notice anything failing to reset at midnight: [topic not found]
I'm aware there are a couple other broken things that happen daily (such as various game prizes/high scores not working), and am still actively working on these!
User Shops Efficiency Update Since several users have reported lag/timeouts when accessing their user shops and galleries, I've been working on an update to make them load better. I'm asking users to help test run it before we roll it out. Your feedback is valuable and will help me improve it further! Please see my post here for more details.
Specific Sidebar Notifications not Working Please see Missing Event Notification/Alerts for a full list of known issues here. (And, if you're aware of a broken alert that isn't on that list, please let us know on that topic!) This issue is still on our radar, and I'm prioritizing getting Training Center notifications fixed first, as I know how important those are!
☕ The Coin Machine would crash if you won a stat change and didn't have an active pet. It now requires an active pet to use. ☕ Fixed an issue that was causing the About page to lag and fail to load. ☕ Fixed an issue preventing you from changing your status to something containing an apostrophe. ☕ Fixed a strange "User does not exist!" error sometimes encountered when replying to sMail. ☕ The Luminaire Chance Machine has been fixed. (There was an error causing it to show as a blank white page.) ☕ Fixed a few trading center issues: usernames not showing up on a specific screen, and a phantom checkbox showing up when you create a new trade. ☕ The Notepad widget had a problem where it sometimes wouldn't update correctly; this has been fixed. ☕ Third time's a charm? If you were experiencing issues with HTTP Subeta not redirecting to HTTPS, this should be fixed. Note: On some pages, you may still see a notice that "some parts of this page are not secure". This is usually caused by user-uploaded images (such as parts of pet/user profiles, or forum signatures/forum images). However, if you notice this on a page that doesn't have any custom images, please make a bug report to let us know!

Thank you for all your hard work! I know it's hard to get things done when you look at a huge mass of errors and realize what a mountain you face. Take the time you need and don't burn out! We can all wait the extra time it takes. :)

Thank you. I have a habit of telling you when things are wrong and not letting you know I appreciate it when they are fixed. I suppose I am one of those people that thinks if I am not complaining about it, you know it is okay. I don't want to be like that. So thank you. Many, many things are right now. It is appreciated.

Thanks for making sure things go as smoothly as possible, and also for letting us know that you are working on the Shoutbox issue. I am a bit worried about it being closed for future events, but the fact that you don't want to have to do that gives me hope, even if it does take a while.
I'm very thankful for you solving the problem on the 23rd/24th in particular, I was so scared I would have to start over, but instead I just had to wait for someone to unlock the skin for me.
Also, it's been a while since we had the monthly updates, and this thread reminds me of it.
