I received from the Mage and I'm reluctant to use it on a pet without knowing what it does! Heh, I've been on hiatus for a while.

If you read it to your pet, it counts as a book. If you use it on your pet, it's a (really good) stat booster that boosts your pet 1-3 in all stats. If you sell it, you can make a lot of sP (because of the above). link to SubetaLodge for full info
