I'm using Firefox at the moment and I find that unlike other browsers, there are some buttons here that when I press them and cmd/ctrl, they open on the same tab rather than a new one, which I don't always want, most notably in shops. And right-clicking the buttons doesn't give me the "Open link in new tab" option. I was wondering if there was any SCode that would make it so that they will be recognised as links that can be opened in new tabs, or if there are any browser settings or extensions that can do that? I really don't want to have to do yet another switch to another browser.
Can you link me to a page with an offending link on it? I don't remember having this issue and I'm on firefox too, so there might be something else going on.
The restocking shops have it, on other browsers I could open the buying link in a new tab instead of having to keep loading pages going back and forth between buying items, it's happening when I buy things from the New Years Shop too. There are a few other instances but those are the main ones.
Do you mean the link to the shop itself, or are you saying you're trying to actually middle-click a given item and open it in a whole new page just to buy it? Because if so, I didn't even know that was possible.
I do mean buying the items, yes. I did it that way all the time on other browsers, but it won't let me do it on this one and I want to know if there's a way around it without changing browsers again.
For the special shops, like New Year, they made that change on subeta last year to supposedly fix something, lol. I battled it for a while too cause it's super annoying. The only way to make it open in new tab now in Firefox is extension called Tab Submit Basic.
Thanks, that seems to have worked.
The something it was fixing was accidental double purchases.
unfortunately subeta doesn't play very nice with firefox.
Seeing how I still see "seems like the page refreshed, you see this to prevent double purchase" more often than ever before the "fix" and even so I sometimes get doubles (rarely tho, so I'd be willing to say it's site hiccuping after maintenance), I'd say the fix didn't do much beside annoying FF users.
The page often does buy when that error pops up, unless you actually refreshed. Then I don't think it does (which is frustrating in its own right IMO). I use the tab submit extension because there's no way for me to open things in a new tab otherwise, so I can't say if that's causing it or if it's a site issue, but I never got double purchases in the past, and now sometimes I do. I have a sticky note on my desk that the middle mouse button was causing it (as opposed to Ctrl + click) but I've also done that with no doubles, so
