Do these look super dark and indistiguishable to all y'all like they do to me? I tried putting them on a very dark backdrop and this helps a bit. Maybe if I could see them I'd think different, but these items look to me like NPC Jogoh is cheating on their sweetie with someone unliving. They're NPC Skitter's fungus colors.
Maybe one of our artists has a super bright monitor? Maybe mobile devices that need to be able to be seen in the sun render these well and my desktop monitor just can't do it?
The red and green look almost the same to me. But the others I can tell apart, well enough. The others could use a tiny brightening up yeah.
I can tell the colors apart, but they definitely are super dark. It'd be nice if they matched some of her other items better (unless more super-dark things were planned for a later release?). The only thing remotely this dark are the cotton bandeaus, and none of the similar colored wraps are a matching shade
They all look incredibly different and not dark to me, but the news comments and this thread made me check and yeah, my screen brightness and contrast are both on 95. But even with both settings on 50 they're not that dark. What are y'alls settings? (just curious, I didn't even realise mine was up so high and don't know what normal is anymore. I'm on a desktop)
I can see a difference in color when they are all lined up together. However if I look at them separately the only one I can really distinguish is the gold.
my brightness is 50, contrast 45.
I'm also an older user and my color contrasting ability, especially on the dark side isn't as good as it used to be. But I keep my contrast and brightness lower on the screen because I get headaches and migraines when looking at a screen and it helps. Plain bright white screens are insanely painful for me to look at. Even though I've changed my CSS to display a non-white background, there's still so much white on this site that I have to keep my brightness and contrast lower.

I can tell them apart, although the red doesn't look very red to me - it looks brown, but not the same brown as the brown.
That being said though, I don't feel like it matches anything else in Fine Fabrics, both in colour and style. I guess I just miss things being vibrant and detailed.
The item art I can tell apart, but on the HA they all look pretty much the same to me. At least, they don't look different enough to justify buying all of them imho.
The red looks black and not red. That's my only complaint really. Though I also would like a white one!
hmm, somewhere along the way the Chrome OS no longer allows control over keyboard and monitors, or at least it's no longer under Settings....
I have no idea what my monitor is set as. Presumably, it's default since Chrome crashes pretty regularly for me and I have to reset everything.
I have little buttons on the monitor itself that allows me to change those settings.

Grrr! Fine Fabrics is another place where Alerts do not work.
I can tell them apart just fine, but they all look really dark, except the gold one, which looks alright. I don't particularly mind the colors being dark, but the thing that bugs me is that the overlay colors are quite a bit darker than the item art appears to be, except for the gold one again.
pro tip: if we need to change our MONITOR SETTINGS to see a item then it's a flawed item
i can tell all of the colors apart just fine, and can to a point even with my blue light filter on (which pushes most colors towards an orangey tone, for anyone who doesn't know). most of them are in no way the color they purport themselves to be (that "blue" is grayer than several gray items on this very site).
the overlays are a different shade than the items themselves, and aren't very saturated, but i think more importantly are lacking in highlights. this is imo what's been the problem with a lot of similar items recently. you need highlights to create gold tones, otherwise you end up with just.. muddy dark yellow. you need highlights to create jade, or you end up with fir green. they almost suck the light in.
judging from the preview images, i wouldn't be surprised if the artist is shading with black and white only, or sticking close to middle saturation and not deviating from it (which produces a similar effect).
example of what i mean

i did these in literal minutes so they're not, like, the best in the world but...
you can't honestly tell me the originals look 'fresh' or 'like liquid gold' in comparison.
I don't care for them because both the fabric and color choices look bland and lifeless to me.
Those are really good edits.
I enjoy the idea of these items, but after a brief glance wrote them off because they were so dark and muddy that I couldn't see myself using them. In fact, I barely read the news post and thought they were from the alchemist, not fine fabrics, because they look like underground items instead of shengui guo items.
Like the concept, execution needs a little work.
I kind of like off-black colors, and can tell these apart on my monitor, but they are REALLY dark. Honestly if the tips of the wearables were a lighter version of the main color, and not just yellow, I think they'd be more useful. The red also doesn't look distinctly red to me, too.
I don't see anything wrong with the colors. It's nice having a different shade even if they seem hard to distinguish between one another or that they're a darker scheme than what people stick with. It's nice to have a variety of colors outside of the normal bright and colorful ones. However, I am totally open for making additional colors though because I like the items in general!
