I ususally do not do "Thank you threads" for my (now luckily passed birthday)

But this year there have been so many persons who made that day special - I wanted to try this!

I actually am not a person who loves her birthday the day was so great as kid - we alwys had a party and usually my dad pulled all my friends home on a sleight - because we ha a proper winter then! *Plus I always thought all the fireworks was to honor my birthday

• I didn't even realize, it started the end of my birthday*

As teenager of course the day was the perfect day, because where I was - there was party. So many fun evenings with sleepovers and huge celebration.

But... ... the older I get, the more I actually dread this day since the last decade it's more a day to look back at the year and see what went wrong (and believe me, there is a lot that can go wrong)

I only do anything because of my parents who want the family to be together.

IF I could choose my way, I would probably stay home alone reading and going to bed early.

Here on subeta I actually am not a fan of "my" day either since it's always so close to lumi and I can't stop but having the stupid feeling peopel are still in a happy and giving mode...

I wish we had the chance to get rid of that cake...

So yeah...

I was kind of floord by all the presents that came in during my birthday

so I will be doing pings XD

My birthday is similar; it's July 4th, which of course is a big deal with parties and fireworks in the US...the whole country celebrates my birthday so it was always exciting as a kid but also a little weird and embarrassing. Plus, everyone expects me to be all patriotic because of it and I'm not lol. I, too, have reached an age where birthdays aren't what they used to be and I would kind of rather stay home to comfort my dog during all the fireworks than go anywhere to celebrate, but I also get annoyed when people forget about it, so I don't know haha. Anyway, everyone deserves to enjoy their birthday, whether by partying with friends and family or just reading a good book, so I hope you always enjoy yours! :)
