I made a Zasaba recently and since it reminds me of a preying mantis, I'd love to stick as close to as the mantis diet as possible, which means bugs such as crickets, flies, moths, etc. Does Subeta have anything like that?

If you wanted to search for some other items yourself, I would recommend using Subetalodge's search feature. You could try searching for different bug names and then filtering by item type for foods.

, the biggest barrier to doing what you want to do is that insect-based food on Subeta is pretty uniformly expensive because it's usually a desirable wearable item (the bug crunch items can be worn as bat and kitten companions, and the bug/grub platter is a background) and almost always is also a Trick or Treat/Pumpkin Patch or collection item. :(

Despite the fact that many human cultures have also considered insects a viable and valuable food source, the restocking shops have very few bug-based food items.

The only restocking shop that reliably carries bug food is Half Baked, which has a variety of cookies with arthropod ingredients.
