While there are many inconvenient things wrong with the site right now, I'm really trying to be patient and realize you guys are really working hard; however, there is one thing that is really ticking me off right now and that's the damn 2 min. Wizard timer. Is it possible to just shut it off until the site is fixed? I'm really tired of 15 point tokens and no sPs a lot of the time because of errors and lag. :(
Ah, thank you! What was that? No, I'm not going to tell you what these are for; that's wizard business! Here, take your reward and run along like a good little youngster.

Not to dismiss you, or your concerns, this is just a hopefully helpful hint to help get you (and anyone else who happens upon this) back to better Wizard Quest rewards! If it doesn't help, sorry for wasting your time, but still thought that I'd try. (& I would be fine if he would be a bit more forgiving, given the current site issues too...)
Did you know that you do not have look at & wait for the page to load when you purchase a thing from the user shops? Because you don't!
I live in a place with normally slow and aggravating internet (where I am both overcharged and underserved...) and this is how I work when on my computer:
1. Start the quest. 2. Hold the CTRL button down on your keyboard & click on each of the Shop Search buttons below the items as normal. You then release CTRL. This will cause the shop search for each to open in a new tab instead of in the same tab you were working in. (if using a mouse you can also try clicking the button with the scroll wheel instead of using CTRL. for some, it'll do the same thing. for others, it will not.) 3. Go to the first newly opened shop tab and click to Buy from another user's shop. 3.5. Do not wait! 4. Go to the next tab and repeat until you've clicked Buy one time for each item needed. 5. Immediately return to the quest tab and click the Finish Quest button.
One of these things will happen:
A. The quest is done! You did it! You can now close the item tabs without looking at them and move on to the next quest as normal.
B. One of the items is not actually done being purchased. You'll get the Oh No! You don't have all the items required for this quest! You are missing: ITEM message. -If this happens, I typically click the Back to Last Page button on the Quest page and then click the Finish button again, as sometimes it just takes an extra second for an item to be purchase. -BUT. Right after clicking that Finish Quest button, click back through your open shop tabs. Make sure that they all display the You have purchased 1 ITEM(s). (I typically close the purchased one as I check when this occurs) -If they're all done, you're done.
Otherwise: C. You actually got an error while purchasing an item and need to reload that page to repurchase from a user's shop. You'll find that out while doing B.
Hope you may get some use from this & can get back to better token rewards in the meantime, if the wizard can't be a bit more generous with his time~
I do appreciate your input, but actually that is pretty much how I do my quests, although I use my mouse to open the shops in a new tab. It's a fast way to do quests. The problem comes in when there is lag and errors. Lately I've had Wiz quests lag and show 29 min and 30 secs when they finally open. Then each of the shop tabs lag opening and clicking to buy lags and by the time the buys have gone through I wind up with a 15 pt. token. This doesn't happen a whole lot, but enough to be very annoying. I would just like to see then eliminate the timer until the site is working properly again. Your explanation is very good and I hope it will help others. :)

Oh no! Sorry to hear that, :( I just thought that I'd mention it here because I know it helped some users squeeze in a few more quests during the time we had a quest-a-thon and things would sometimes not run quite right.
It wouldn't kill him to give us a bit longer, all things considered. Here's hoping your concerns will be addressed if these issues keep going much longer!
Yeah, it's hard to do ANY kind of quest with all the errors, but trying Wizard quests is a suicide mission most of the time.
This is why I don't often do those quests when the site is laggy. It's very easy to buy the items and clear out inventory space if needed, but the lag that makes it harder is not our fault, and it's not fair that we get punished for it. I would suggest making the timer 5 minutes instead, that seems more do-able.
Tbh I don't really get why his timer is still a thing.. I don't even see it displayed when I finish his quests anymore, they hardly even indicate it exists until you check the achievements or realize over time that when you take too long he dramatically drops the prize value.
It'd be nice to have it temporarily disabled for the time being, or perhaps even just flat-out retire it since it only really contributes to a single achievement and I can't see any real reason for it to exist other than that achievement, but maybe I'm missing something. x_x
you're conflating two different things. There is a 10 second timer - for that single achievement. This is not what is talking about. Getting that single achievement can be done anytime. The main issue is that currently - with the site lag (which has improved a lot) AND the error pages and hanging, we can't complete the quests quickly enough to earn the sP and the 20 pt token rewards. At times I've gotten distracted and missed the time window to earn the better reward, and that's on me. But when its the fault of the site for being messed up, why should I be punished?
It just adds to the overall frustration with with all the issues happening. Now, for the most part, I just haven't been doing wizard quests (or blue building quests because they too are time dependent). I've been doing quests that are less punishing for taking too long, when I've been doing quests at all.

Sorry if my post was confusing, it was late at night when I wrote it.
The general idea of my post was frustration with the Wizard timer's existence in general, both that it seemingly has no real reason for existing other than that achievement, AND that when you're late enough it takes away most of your prizes. The same internal timer that contributes to the achievement is also what reduces our prizes with the Wizard.
The second part is obviously the biggest frustration with the current state of the site, but bringing up the other element of the timer was more my argument towards the idea of retiring the timer instead of just disabling it during the site lag.
ah I see :).
I disagree, sort of. I'd like to keep the 10 second quest achievement. The 30 second (or 2 minutes, or whatever it is) can go though!

I don't understand the timer at all-- 30 minutes to complete a quest (outside item hunt) is suuuuper long. Most quests are completed within 30 seconds at most, it's such a huge gap that I never understood, even when I first joined.
I do agree that with the lag it's unfair to be 'punished' for something that is our of your control. Thankfully since I'm converse subetas time theres usually only about 200 users online, I get the full reward, so it is a site traffic issue at the moment.
Fair enough. I was thinking of the 2 timer elements too closely as though they were linked that I should've just gone more for the elimination of the time penalty rather than the speed achievement. xP
I'll update my stance accordingly; I say Subeta just eliminate the time penalty since there's not really any good reason for it. Even the slowest of methods of completing the quest don't usually go slowly enough to only get the reduced prizes.. it really only shows up when someone's internet is really bad or the site is running slowly, which are both largely out of the control of the player.
