I looked this up...seems that in the past this item gave extra interest in the vault. Now it awards CSC? Anyone know how much CSC? I'm not sure if it's worth keeping. Any guidance would be appreciated :)

Yes, now it awards CSC. It will award you 25 CSC over the course of five quests in 5 CSC increments. Right now they sell for about what the equivalent amount of CSC would sell for, so keep it if you want CSC otherwise sell.
