Long story short, I sent my normal Kora into the rift and it became this (RA-001):

SPOILER (click to toggle)

Can someone tell me what this is or what happened? I'm aware of riftborn pets and that the Kora doesn't have that pattern. I just threw it in because I was curious what would come of it. XD

The rift changed your Kora into this species because the Kora isn't available in rift color yet.

Ah, that was my first guess. Thank you for confirming it.

I'm curious, do other patterns have this outcome too? Or is it just this one? I find it neat that there could be a "default creature" of sorts for a pattern when your pet's species isn't available in it yet.

As of now, only changing your pet into the rift color can generate default species.

For other species, suppose you want to change a colored pet into a blob and it the blob doesn't have that color. The pet will turn into a common blob. Same with Yaherra and Qrykee for common colors.

There's also a RA-002

Your pet will turn into either RA-001 or RA-002 at random if its species isn't available in riftborn yet

That is, without a doubt, a pretty cool monster.

I had no idea there were two. I should try to get one of those.

I see. Thanks for confirming.
