I'm trying to work my way back into more battling so I've been tackling the event challengers. I seem to be completely stuck with Cozcoatl. I've tried lots of different things and can't seem to get enough light/water/wind defense with sufficent attack to get to five wins. 's really helpful guide says this challenger is T10+ but Tos has just reached T11 and is still stuck on her 3rd win with 28 losses. I must be doing something wrong but can't seem to figure out what.

Any help/suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Just double checking but we're talking about Cozcoatl, right? I don't know that he has a weapon called Blue Thunder?

I put some gauntlets up in Trade Lot for you to borrow to try! I just need them back by midnight Subeta time It will help block water/light. Definitely use the pquill/STS/AoN/GoTF as well, they help give survivability. Since the Gauntlets block light, I would probably switch to either Critical Strike mods or maybe even dark/ice defense. Coz has low HP so you're probably a lucky crit or two away from winning, I think.

For the future I'd recommend reading a bit more to your pet, the intel is on the wee bit low side and it can really give you an edge on opponents! [edit] Sorry, forgot to mention that I think you should use the Gauntlets in combination with the Trident as your main attackers, then use the healers/blockers as necessary!

- oops - sorry, the Blue Thunder was Daemon, who I was stuck on as well, but have now gotten five wins on. I have not tried double blasting with Cozcoatl. The rest should be correct.

What sort of collateral would you like for the Gauntlets?

No problem! I kind of felt like blasting wasnt worth on Cozcoatl because his attack is so high that whenever I tried to blast, he'd just murder me if I wasnt using a defensive weapon. You can try it as well though, thats just my opinion!

(On the other hand, blasting is super good on Daemon haha)

[edit] Tbh though, 2 GOTF is still an awesome start :D Theyre basically like two more pquills.

I would never run off with anyone's hard earned battle set! Thank you so very much. I have been going a little nuts trying to get a triple defense that would work. And yes, remodding is defintely in order. My trident usually has two Parched Baguettes (not useful here because no freezing) and Two Crit Strike Tears but changed them out to try to get light defense plus heal together. :-)

[edit] Got my 5th win with Tos but needed the T11 to do so. Anytime I got Cozcoatl into the red, he started to heal - usually more than I could hit and still heal/defend. Finally put 4 crit strike tears on the trident, 3 Light Defense Cabochon Crystal (he does SO MUCH light damage) on the gauntlet since it only defends 35 light on its own. Blasted to start and then saved the Bear Head Bomb to finish him off in spite of his healing if I managed to get him into the red.

Without being able to use the Bear Head Bomb or a second GoTF, I don't think Tharg (stats below) stands a chance. Even with better AP, I don't see how a mid to high stat T10 managed this challenger. I would be very interested to see the weapons/scrolls and strategy for doing that.

Also, I noticed your responses to about Lady of the Waters. - Tos has a lot less health than her pet Poukie. Do you think there is any chance Tos could get 5 wins?

[edit] It was mentioned on the Battle Chat thread that your T10 pet Plakat got 10 wins against Cozcoatl (congratulations - that is really impressive) and I would love to hear what weapon set/scrolls/strategy you used. It seems others besides me have been finding this challenger very difficult to manage.

For the record, I used this for my early T10 (6,620 total stats, 83 AP): x4 with some elemental marquise crystals to round out the mod slots.

Health: 2600 / 2600 Strength: 1730 Defense: 1725 Speed: 1575 Intelligence: 1485 AP: 92 These are my t10's stats when he beat Coz 10 times (he is now t11) He was already pretty close to t11 when I did it, and he does have high HP for a t10. I think I ended up using: x5

For Lady of the Waters - she will be harder than Coz by a lot, but your pet's intel at least doesn't hold you back here XD I would recommend a strategy of and that are modded with a mix of elemental marquise crystals/parched crystals to try to stack curse damage + prevent being frozen. She has a stupidly annoying heal but using those weapons tends to block fire/physical/ice and she does little damage after that if you have enough HP. I can lend the Blade if youre around today to try her.

I'm a little confused about what to do with the Possessed Bow. I think Tos (T11) will be using Natasha for her fire blocker and she has already beaten Daemon the five times I was trying for. I think I was talking using the bow for Tharg (my T10) against Daemon, but for that I would need to borrow your Tempestuous Bladed Gauntlet again I think, at least if I understood the weapon pairs you posted on the Battle Chat Thread correctly. (Sorry, been battling so long the data is starting to run together a bit.)

Ohhhh Im sorry, I didnt realise you had a Natasha. Yes, that would be preferred over the Pobow. (though sometimes the RNG freeze is helpful from Pobow on Daemon esp) In that case I'll pop the Gauntlet over to you again :)
