This might sound like a silly complaint... but I, as well as others, have gotten frustrated many times by the placement of the "clear all" button in the wardrobe. Just today I spent an hour on an outfit only to accidentally clear it. (I then remade it and made the same mistake.) Maybe I'm less competent than others, but I think a change could benefit everyone. A different placement or an "are you sure?" box would work great. I'd be happy to hear other ideas or thoughts on the subject!
Actually I think it is on a pretty out of the way place on pc at least, On mobile I can imagine it is really easy to click. While I can see the use of use of a "are you shure" prompt i'd prefer to have a toggle elsewere to turn it off (it would only be a minor annoyance to have a prompt tho). In the meantime follow this common advice of both the digital art and video game community: Save often.
i accidentally click it all the time. i'll add a new item to my outfit, then go to click and drag it from the top of the layer list to somewhere lower on the list, but i'll overshoot and click "clear all" instead. the link also has a rather large "hitbox" so you don't even have to be clicking on the word itself to mess this up.
to clarify, this is how much of a razor's edge it is between grabbing your top layer and removing your entire outfit. depending on your cursor tracking speed, it's way too easy to make this mistake:

I see, moving the worn Items list a bit down the page and clearly defining the clear all hit box should probablt largely solve the problem then right?
I'm going to be a broken record and remind folks that Wardrobe V4 is in Beta and if you have a GA you can comment there.
It isn't that I hate this Suggestion, but I don't think there's an easier/better solution. Maybe a shudder confirmation box do you really want to do this?
The button was where it was because of space limitations, trying to get as much information onto one non-scrolled part of the page as possible. If it was on the bottom of that list it would not only be in an arbitrary location because the layer list can get really long, but the converse error of moving the bottom item upwards would also result in outfit deletion.
For my workaround I move my former top item back to the top first and then drag the new item down. Dragging up doesn't trigger a clearing. I also think that saving often is a thing you should do. Back when the V4 was working for me this was also a useful habit to have.
I see your point, but I definitely think there are solutions. Moving the items list a hair down like suggested before would make no difference and greatly help avoid accidental clicks. There is also space for the button under the avatar or on the top bar. As for the "are you sure" button, having to constantly save and then delete the saved outfits seems like a bigger hassle than clicking twice. I drag items much more often than I clear outfits, so it makes sense to me. And the hitbox being more defined would probably also fix this, or at least make it much less of a problem.
Tbh I've never accidentally clicked it but maybe it's different between browsers, operating systems, etc.? If so I can understand being frustrated with it.
Usually if I want to grab the top layer to move it I move the cursor further to the right so that it's nowhere near the "clear all" text. Not close to the 'x' on the layer either, just well away from "clear all." Maybe try that instead of trying to select right underneath the "clear all" text?
Seems like an "undo" button would maybe work better than a confirmation? It doesn't slow down anyone that really meant to clear all, and it could be useful in other situations like if you accidentally remove a single item or mess up some of your layering. It shouldn't be too hard to just hold the previous configuration (or a couple configurations) in memory to restore when needed.
