I can't even tell you how happy I am that the angelic colour line is finally getting more padded out and finished up. 🙌

Now, we're only missing the harvester and illumis from the old pet species. And noktoa, zentu, scootle, blob and urubu (but the last 3 are still fairly new).

PROGRESS! Tigrean is still best baby and I am getting one as soon as I figure out which of my characters it fits best. And the xotl design is clever and not at all what I expected!

Sweet babies. So sweet. The angelic malticorn was always lovely, but the revamp really amped it up! I'm not much of a kerubi person, but I am a little sad to see the old pastel colouring go on the kerubi! Still, the update was needed and it looks lovely and squishable.

A very good serene baby. 10/10, would softly and cautiously boop the snoot. Aquatic critters are pretty difficult to draw as angelics, but this good bean right here is the most zen bean. The texturing on its skin got me feeling both happy and anxious - that is gonna hurt to get right if you need to edit it for an overlay, but it looks so good. I feel a lil bad that the tigrean stole all of the thunder from this one!

Excuse me but I have been thirsting for this ever since the yaherra was released as a species. I am now hydrated. My skin is clear. My crops are flourishing. Life is good. Also it has buttwings and that's adorable.

I am so tempted to get a GA so I can use one of my open pet slots for the Angelic Tigrean. So precious...~

afaik you don't need a GA to use extra pet slots any more. That hasn't been a thing for quite a few years now!

Well, I still got a week's GA to be certain because I couldn't remember. No offense intended, truly.

Ugh yeah, that was one of my least favorite things about Neopets when I still played there. Having the specific pet species days, and sometimes pets only got new colors on their day. Like ugh, I don't want to have to wait for years for my favorite pet to be available in the newest color combos.

Anyway, it's definitely cool to have some colors get attention outside of their holidays with some of these monthly themes. Especially during the summer when there's not usually too much going on, it helps fill some of the content gaps. ^__^

Hard same!! :D I've already got a Yaherra named Anduniel, which is a decent angel-sounding name, that I can paint...but she's already got a TC and the beginnings of a story established that wouldn't really match the color. So I'd have to chuck all that and start over.

Anyway, agreed with OP too, the latest few Angelic pets have really been crushing it! (Even though I was a little down on the colors for the Yaherra initially; they've since grown on me)

When I asked in the comments for the cash shop collection for this month if we'd be getting any new Angelic pets, I only expected about 3, and instead we get 6 of them AND 2 revamps!!!

I recall seeing a thread a while back with someone complaining about not getting any new Angelic pets during what was apparently the only time when they were "Allowed" to be released (Luminaire/New Year), so making a monthly theme about it (Which I think some of us suggested) was a great way to get around it and make an exception. It also gives the possibility of other months having pet colours as a theme to release new pets in those colours outside of their usual seasons and events.

To be honest I never really liked them sticking to seasons and events, I mean, I can see why, but if they only release, like, 2 or 3 pets per year in those colours, it does get a bit frustrating waiting for specific pets. I know the artists might be busy, sadly not much can be done about that, but that's why I was so surprised to see so many new pet colours this month.

I'm so excited and happy for them all! I have 15 of them right now and soon to be 17 with all the new ones (just gotta get the right names). I had originally made a post early in the year saying I was disappointed in the lack of angelics all last winter, and simply wanted it to be known that there are angelic pet lovers on site that missed them. So even though I'm sure it's coincidence, it almost feels like staff was listening which is awesome and super appreciated. <3
