I just saw the video of that girl in Hawaii destroying a sand sculpture in a hotel and acting like she's doing something really great. Why do some people think destruction is an achievement? smh

Because they're extreme plonkers and complete ignorants who just want to get some attention on the Internet and mainstream media without knowing the price of damaging public property and/or cultural heritage.
I couldn't have said it better myself.

As a child under the age of 13: "That's so cute! Look, they're Godzilla!" takes millions of pictures As a teenager over the age of 13: "That's mean and destructive! How dare they post it online!" condemns to the Nth realm of reality
It's about like saying there's a cutoff age for trick or treating then wondering why the teenagers get upset.

I'm not sure of your point. Are you saying it's somehow acceptable for young people to do things like this? I put it down to poor parenting myself. If I had done something like that, my parents would have tanned my butt good.

Sorry this topic is old. I know. On my opinion it is never cute if a kid destroy something from someone else. A teen have to know better than a baby or a todler or so. Because a teen knows more and understands more than a much younger kid. A young kid (less than 2 years old) have still to learn it's wrong. Simple. So to know those fackts I'm not surpriced if the most people think it is not cute anymore if a teen destroys something.
For sure, it's important to be calm and friendly to explain a todler what is wrong to do and why.
