Hellooooo everyone :'D I figured I should do an introductory post! I never know what to write for these sorts of things so I'm sorry if this is rambly.

I'm newish to Subeta - I made an account yeeeeears ago but I never really knew how to get around or how anything worked here. But a couple weeks ago a friend helped me see the light, and here I am :'D I absolutely love this site!

I've been doing quests like a madman, getting my pets all prettied up and saving up for more pet slots because I'm...a glutton for pets... lmao. I'm slowly working on my pets' pages as well, but CSS is so confusing to me (I've just been using premade codes and...trying to decipher things from there).

Anyway, yeah, I'm glad to finally have gotten into Subeta, because I absolutely love it! I'd love to make friends here.

I'm big into astrology, witchcraft, and art; I also enjoy all sorts of games (Pokemon, No Man's Sky, Final Fantasy, stuff like that) and anime (such as Yu Yu Hakusho, Sailor Moon, Inuyasha, Evangelion, Wolf's Rain, Madoka, and Kill La Kill). I also really, really like Magic: the Gathering. If we share any interests I'd probably be down to chat/be friends!

hello and welcome back in a sorts! I've been here a couple of weeks and my lord, am I addicted! I'm also a glutton for pets, so that's one thing we share! I'm not into Anime, (I think I'd like some, just need to find the right ones.) but I'm also into witchcraft and Final Fantasy. I love your HA, your name and I'm about to check out your pets, because...PETS! <3

hey welcome back to subeta! i've been here for a couple years mainly on and off but i hope to actually stay this time around if i can. i just decided to come back last month and this site is possibly one of my favorites, i forgot how much i love the community. i love your HA by the way as well. <3

i do happen to share a couple interests with you! astrology is a big one i'm into for the fun of it. (i'm an aquarius)

anime is another. i love 80s and 90s anime like the ones you just mentioned. (admittedly half of it is for the aesthetic) i watched a couple episodes of sailor moon but i want to get back into it some time. recently watched a bit of kill la kill and the animation is just.. so good with anime series i always seem to stop at a certain point and come back to them long after the fact which i want to stop doing

and i love art too! i love using colored pencils sharpies and watercolor pens but want to get some more supplies and mess around with them. what art mediums are you into?

hello and thank you!! i've heard a lot of good about the community here, i just... need to actually get out there, haha! :'D

oh cool, i'm a pisces! astrology really is fun and interesting in its own way. and yeah, i just loooove the aesthetics of 80s/90s anime! i've been meaning to rewatch Sailor Moon myself, it's been a while. I'm currently watching through Inuyasha at the moment!

as far as art goes, i mostly use markers! copics, prismacolors, and chameleon markers are my favorites. i just wish copics weren't so damn expensive though ;n; but MAN they look nice. colored pencils are great too, i actually used to do flat colors with marker, and shade with colored pencil. it makes for a pretty neat effect! :3

yeah, that's what i've been trying to do too. i've been pretty quiet all these years i've been here as far as getting out there goes 😅 i'm doing better with being social though so thats good! i'm naturally a shy person but i'm slowly coming out of that box

i think i only got up to episode 8? same for kill la kill. but i'll get back to them eventually. i've watched tons of studio ghibli movies as well. anime films are something i'm able to watch all the way through

i've heard so much about copics and i'd really like some! i've never heard of chameleon markers but i've got a big thing of prismacolor pencils which i love. they were one of my best christmas gifts! sadly i lost my blending tool and i dont know where it is. but my rooms a bit of a mess so it's hiding somewhere i pretty much just draw people and plants since thats what im most comfortable with. i can't for the life of me draw animals though. or backgrounds. i really need to practice with that that method you mentioned last sounds fun, i'll have to try it for myself :)

another thing that came up in mind, what kind of music are you into, if any? i could go on and on about my favorite genres and songs haha

oh same here, very shy person trying to come out of their box, haha ^^'

ahhh I love Studio Ghibli and other anime movies too!! do you have any favorites? from Ghibli I really like Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, and Spirited away. I could never pick just one favorite from them! Others I really like are Wolf Children and Akira - Akira's just such a classic.

i really love both brands of markers! copics are really great when you want softer, more muted colors, and prismacolors are generally more vibrant (and i totally love prismacolor pencils as well, i used to swear by those!). they're a lot of fun to play around with!

chameleon markers are really neat, they're double-sided just like prismas and copics, but every marker also comes with a "blank" nib so you can basically mix two colors on one marker tip, making for some really cool gradients while you color, or it makes shading way easier because you can get all your dark to light shades by just mixing two colors together. the only downsides i've found is they tend to bleed a little more than copics and prismas do, and are a little harder to control because they're... ridiculously big/long markers.

oh man, i'm into all sorts of stuff, honestly. i can't quite pin it down to any specific genres. some of my favorites are Foxing and Balance & Composure (kind of emo/alternative), Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (idk how to describe this band but they are my FAVORITE. it's like blues rock for goths. very dark and morose but i love it), Neko Case (kind of a witchy, folksy, country songwriter whose sound has changed a lot but has always been great), and... uh. Tori Amos, Leonard Cohen, La Dispute, Brand New.... all sorts of stuff. I could honestly go on and on and on :'D I'd love to hear what some of your favorites are!

honestly i can't pick just one fave either. if i had to choose though i'd say ponyo or when marnie was there. i cried so much at the end of that one as well as with grave of the fireflies. but i love them all i've seen clips of wolf children and it looks so cute, and i've seen akira! didn't exactly understand the storyline but i love the vibes it gives me. such nice animation too

ooh the chameleon markers sound really fun. i work kind of small so i don't know about them being so big though :( once i rack up enough money i'll try to go for copics though. i have these watercolor brush pens that are so fun to work with sharpies though. i usually sketch everything first then do the outlines with those, and color in with either the brush pens or prismacolors. im down for finding other methods of coloring though

oh my music taste is all over the place but also pretty different from yours. i havent heard of most of them but indie, pop, electronic are pretty much my main three genres. but two genres i'm definitely fond of are vaporwave and future funk, those types of things? future funk is basically a much more upbeat version of vaporwave and i've been into it ever since i discovered it; this channel was what got me into it as well as anime. its really fun to listen to; lemkuuja and desired are two of my favorite artists in regards to this genre: x x x x (just some favorites)

for artists/bands in general i love gorillaz although i haven't been listening to them as much recently. i do have two of their t-shirts so thats one thing. caravan palace is also pretty good too! i remember listening to both these bands on the daily: x x x x

^ of course theres a lot more than that but those were just a couple that came to my mind

YEEEES TORI AMOS IS QUEEN <3 Grew up on her music, thanks to my mom :D

Wolf Children is so. good. I definitely recommend a full watch if you ever find it anywhere! When Marnie Was There and Grave of the Fireflies are ones I haven't seen yet, I keep meaning to. I have a problem with getting a big huge list of things to watch and then... never actually watching them, or taking MONTHS to watch, lol!

yeah, i'm not sure i'd recommend Chameleon markers if you work small. you can take off the blank nib section of the marker and that takes off some length and weight and it's a little less awkward, but it still feels a bit heavy in my hand. :/

I haven't listened to any future funk, but I do like some vaporwave stuff! also I absolutely loooove Gorillaz! I can't believe i forgot to mention them myself, they're one of the bands I grew up on :') caravan palace seems really cool too, I like the songs you linked!

WOW OMG thank you for those helpful links, I have them bookmarked! I knew some basic stuff, kind of, but i'm used to another site where they just use BBCode which I think I finally know what i'm doing in and this feels so much different and more complicated somehow LOL

i'll definitely try to find a time to watch it! the art style is so loose and nice. and i definitely recommend you watch those two; they're imo two of the most emotional films studio ghibli has made.

i just took a look at them and man the effect they make is so pretty. along with me working on the smaller side my hands are small as well so yeah, don't know how well that'd work out lmao. i'm happy with the stuff i've got at the moment but would always love an upgrade :) i really need to organize my supplies though. i've just got them all sprawled out on my desk and its getting to be a little of an eyesore

i've only just gotten into gorillaz like a few years ago, but definitely look into caravan palace if you've got the time! i love both their older and newer stuff
