we bout to discuss cockroaches. no irony. yes the the actual bug
Nothing but respect for those bugs. Radroach gonna live forever
i actually named my zasaba after my first roach also i really like Radroach!!!
No I originally said what would roaches do without humans.
@ roachlord Thanks re: Radroach and don't be afraid to @ me so I know you're talking to me! :D Your "first roach" like a pet? Madagascar hissing cockroach? I've never met one but those are the only roaches I've heard of being kept as pets. They seem pretty neat and I honestly think they're cute. That's super cool if you keep them as pets. I've actually never seen live roaches where I live but I've kept lots of other bugs as pets. They're all fascinating and super underappreciated.
Hm...I guess you're thinking of a different kind of roach haha Edit to respond to your edit: Ah, ok, guess I read too much into your "error 451" response (means "Unavailable For Legal Reasons" lol).
fiance wants a Madagascar hissing cockroach. i said no, unless you want me dead. i can't do bugs. not indoors not that huge. Why do people do that? T-T
The only bugs i can touch are ladybugs and rhino beetles. i actually really like rhino beetles, though i might faint if i see their bodies, under their wings DX

Haha, aw, well like I said...I think they're interesting and I'd keep one as a pet. I love creepy crawlies of all sorts.
I've kept lots of bugs as pets but probably the coolest was a praying mantis. I also kept a housefly for over a month in my cubicle at work. It kept flying around my desk so I caught it and put it in a clear acrylic box with a sugar cube and some water (I observed it consuming both...it was pretty cute actually). Once in a while, I even let it out to fly around but it wouldn't go far and would return to the box. I had always heard they only live a few days so I was surprised it lived a whole month; I eventually just released it because I didn't particularly want a dead fly in a box. His name was Floyd. And I was definitely the weirdest person in the office. :P
while flies are absolutely disgusting and annoying, i'm ok with them. sounds like something i'd do too o.o I guess it came back because it knew there's food there? i think they'd die within days without food, water and with predators around. You kept it safe and fed, so it survived longer. ;) I particularly like the blue/green shiny flies -apparently they're also useful in medicine so ... like, they're less disgusting. I wouldnt want to see them in action in a medical setting, but it's neat they can help.

Yeah, I think so too. The poor thing probably wondered what it had done wrong when I kicked it out of its cozy little apartment haha. I just have never felt right about keeping wild-caught animals confined for the rest of their lives.
Yeah, the iridescent ones are really pretty. But even I would have a hard time with maggot therapy lol. I've seen flystrike in animals and that is a giant nope (I tried to save a baby rabbit from it once but it was too severe). It is certainly awesome that they can be used that way though.
