I live in the Midwest, and the humidity is like 80% out here. I don't necessarily miss the wintertime, but I do miss going outside and not feeling like I'm about to melt, lol.

Anyway, I've made an HA dealing with a gnarly cold during the winter. She's visiting family for the winter and got a cold the first day of the trip. With and without backdrop items!

Living in an area where temperatures change so often, I have mixed feelings about summer. On the one hand, long evenings are nice when you work long hours, and I really enjoy ripe berries and cider and wearing sandals. On the other hand, there's the heat and the headaches and mosquitoes and sunburn, ugh! Also, autumn is my favorite season so natually it can't come quick enough xD

Okay so I made a Hogwarts student staying at school during Christmas break to hang out in the warm cozy Hufflepuff common room/green house. She's tending to all the plants and hanging out with her pet badger, Helga.

Thanks! Your line: "heat and the headaches and mosquitoes and sunburn".. yeah that's me all Summer! I get ate up whenever I step outside. I get bad headaches & sick due to a lot of heat & plus with sinus & allergy issues so yeah, that's a lot of why I despise Summer!

Taking a walk through the rain in spring or fall feels great. Everything smells good and looks so pretty~ ...At least until you realize that you're soaked to the bone.

I feel your pain. I HATE summer (or any hot weather really). When I visit home there is no AC and it is a pain. Know that there are fans you can put water in to cool you down. It feels almost like an AC. And I'm not talking about hand fans. These are actual big real fans. Look for it on Amazon.

Since autumn is my favorite season, here is my look on a cool weather. I'm counting the days until that season. Private Outfit

Okay so some of these you probably already know/do, but I'll list them anyway lol

• box fans are your best friend
• if it doesn't make the house too dark and dreary, keeping the blinds/curtains shut during the sunny hours of the day can really impact the overall temperature of your house
• wipe down any exposed skin with a damp wash cloth, any air/breeze that hits you while you're wet will feel cool
• similarly, if you have house work to do, do it in a damp bathing suit (or regular comfy clothes I guess?). It sounds super weird but it keeps you cool cause you're moving around
• sitting on a big soft towel instead of directly on furniture can help you feel less sweaty and you won't stick to plastic chairs lol
• If you're out in the sun, long sleeves and pants can actually be more cooling as long as they're very thin/lightweight/light colors.
• if your bedroom is on the second floor (or in the attic like mine technically is rn) consider setting up a comfy makeshift bed on the first floor.
• invest in a dehumidifier! Sometimes the humidity is just as bad (or worse!) than the heat itself.
• eat cold foods (popsicles and stuff are good, but even cold fresh fruit and veggies can be really satisfying.)
• ice bath for your feet
• and I have to say it because it can never be said enough: STAY HYDRATED! I'm really bad at remembering that myself, but it's so important!

A few weeks ago we had humid 105°F and my body just, y'know, shut down? Awful. When it gets too warm I make and eat nothing but Gazpacho for lunch and dinner, and puree some watermelon for popsicles. Also, something a friend who happens to be a nurse explained me: If you shower too cold or consume to many icy treats, your body tries harder to keep your core from freezing and powers up, thus overheating?

I love walking in the rain! I love rain in general! There was a few days where there was rain here & I was so exited. I just went & stood out in it & washed my hair in it to cool down. So refreshing!

Yes! I think that's been a lot of my problem! I've taken to drinking gatorades/powerade & water & ice as much as I can! I do take cool showers. They aren't freezing but they are cooling. That does seem to help some.

Tomorrow & through the weekend is supposed to be in the 100s with humidity close to it. I hope & pray it dosen't!!

Oh, I'm so sorry for your ac. As a person who hates summer, I can say it is so insane for me not to have an ac when it is super hot here. At this moment, we are on winter so I hope I could share some of the cold to you :P

sorry about your ac situation. The heat has been so bad here, that the window unit can barely keep up. Its been suffocating here in the house. I hate it when we're supposed to get rain it skips over us, or it dissolves before it gets here. I wish I lived in one of the rainier states.
