CURRENT ADJUSTMENTS FROM :
Original Message Below Spoiler:
Okay so - I like that my private categories are differentiated by having a separately colored background - that's nice and handy.
I don't like how the move to category section is....I can no longer easily move things by using the numbers/letters that they start with - now I have to scroll through a giant list in order to shift them around. I'm really not sure why this was changed to be less useful than it already was =/ If any change was going to be made, I would've preferred it to behave like the Vault does, where I can individually move each item to the category I want without having to refresh the entire page to do so....this means I have to do multiple page refreshes instead of doing one refresh to move everything to the appropriate categories.
This...doesn't make sense and seems like it would put more strain on the site since now I'm refreshing the same page over and over and over in the span of a few seconds.
Seeing "Move to Cateogry" for 56 categories instead of me being able to click in the box and hit 'w' a few times to get "wearables" as the selected category is worlds of useless for me.
I also am not particularly a fan of this change because instead of me just using one page to sort all the incoming new items, I have to refresh repeatedly to change categories and.... while I don't have as many categories as some people, this seems counter productive and a lot less user friendly than it was before with the drop downs below each item :X I prefer the check boxes just being for removal, and not for moving TBH.
I'm with you Reaper. I am not sure why the sorting was changed, but I played around in my WL yesterday for like an hr trying to sort stuff.
I do however really love the search WL option..not sure when that was added..but TY!
Love may not always be destiny, But a Gift.

The WL Search has been there for something like...a year I think? Idk, it's been there for quite awhile now, and I do really appreciate that. But this change is very unhelpful.
^ This so much!
I do appreciate that the selection can be done anywhere within the box for the item when making the checklist, but I really preferred the faster sorting of the old drop downs (especially as I can sort more than one category at a time)
For example when most items are released, say a collection item has books & wears & collectibles, so if I have those as separate categories, for one newspost I have to update at least 3 times separately

copy-pasting from the wishlist suggestions thread:
i appreciate the new mass-move (i imagine it will be helpful if i forget to change my default wishlist during events), but i would like to have the individual dropdown option as well. maybe as a user preference toggle?
because i can only pick one category at a time, this new way is less efficient for me when it comes to organizing my default wishlist o:
e/ i hadn't noticed that we'd lost the ability to select a category by the number/letter it starts with, i'd like that back at least ;o;
Yyyeah really not a fan of the "move to category" update. It's a really drastic change from how it used to be.
I liked being able to hit "Q" on my keyboard and getting my Quest Shop WL category to be the first one selected. The way the system is currently set up is really annoying to use and feels less intuitive and user-friendly than the last one. It reminds me of the Subetapedia pet colour/species page with its inability to use the keyboard for easy selection. It's also less efficient - we can only move things to one category instead of moving them to several at a time.
Not a fan, sorry. :/
If it was formatted differently, sure! Some suggestions:
Agreed, I do not like this change. Moving one item at a time takes forever. It's even worse because you can't even type the 1st letter to make the one you want show up faster, they all start with "Move to category". -_-
Agreed, I'm not really a fan of this change either. It doesn't really seem like it's any better than it was previously? At least from what I can remember, and what other users have already mentioned here.
Yeah, I preferred the old system better -- I could move everything in my unsorted to the categories I wanted in the same click. Seems EXTREMELY counter-productive to make it so you have to do several rounds of selections when you were able to do all of them at once in the same click before.
I didn't even catch that it was auoselected at "Remove From Wishlist" like...what the heck?
We had a recent change that moved the "remove from wishlist" option to be somewhere less easy to accidentally hit and now we've....put it back to being the default for some reason????
Yeah - it just took me three refreshes to move 9 items to the right three categories.
This is just...so frustrating right now. The previous system worked fine and didn't take long at all to pick the categories and mass move everything to their appropriate places at once, this makes this much harder and less intuitive than it was and I don't really see how it's an improvement at all in making "mass selection" moving quicker =/
It took me a minute to notice it was a change and not a bug Like everyone I hope this gets reversed, it simply doesn't make sense for us >_<
My best guess is that it's still all a massive WIP and they're waiting on feedback before finalizing it, but yeah. I reallyreally do not want "delete from wishlist" as the first option. 😬
I do love that the private categories are easier to tell apart now, though. Private and public categories blending into eachother because of no visual cues outside of a tiny icon was one thing that bothered me so much.
I'd like to have both options. Sometimes I mess up and I do need to mass transfer to another category, but this isn't efficient for reasons in OP.
And yeah, let's not have remove from wishlist as the first option.
That's just going to lead to so many issues having that option first.
I love the change to private vs public categories, but the change for moving things is....definitely not something I'm into at all.
Nothing to add except my support for the un-changing of the change.
Just checked it out, and I honestly prefer the category sorting this way. I've got a lot of categories, so selecting one for every item was a pain. This is MUCH easier.
I wouldn't want to see it changed back. However, if the old way can somehow be implemented as an option for those who found it easier, that'd be great.
Having "remove from wishlist" selected by default though... Big yikes. I almost removed some items by mistake! Please add something else to the top of that dropdown. Something like a line to show nothing has been selected yet would work. It needs something that wouldn't make any changes if you accidentally submitted before making the choice you wanted.
Also not a fan of this. My unsorted category is several thousand items long (because I'm a bit lazy) and before I could just go through an item by item per page, use the drop down box to find the category it belonged to, and boom have one whole page out of the way without much trouble. Now I need to either do it one item at a time, or try to find all the things that belong in that category per page and it's just tedious so I'm not even playing with it anymore. The option to have the drop down box or use the new system should be there, I'm not sure why the drop down box was taken out in the first place honestly.
