i dont know if this is the intended function of this feature, but i find it nearly impossible to search for ping groups. for example, if i want to join ping group for cw releases... i search 'starmates' and nothing comes up. i search 'chelsea' because i know that's her name (thanks profile art!) and it gives me 2 private groups. i look in her posts to see if she tagged publicly so i can click through, no luck. i can't figure out how to join her group for the life of me and there's no other way for me to get to it. i don't know the 'name' of the group, and when i search for the ping value (starmates), nothing comes up. it would be AMAZING if we could search the forum groups by what the hashtag is. this is a really frustrating experience
