Is the concept to remove the sticker from your album and return it to your inventory? Or is it just to remove the sticker and the sticker disappears?

It removes the sticker and the sticker disappears. This is to prevent people from only getting stickers for the achievements and then removing and reselling them. The purpose of the removal feature is mainly just to remove any stickers you don't want in your album, for people who only want certain stickers or if you get stuck by a random person a sticker you don't want or a double of something.
