I thought this topic could get a lot of interesting conversation going.
So... let's get spooky!

Any time I go downtown, I see payphones, being used.
I have experienced so many strange/weird/paranormal things but there is one specific occurrence that REALLY creeped me out.
I wasn't feeling very well so I was lying on the couch watching tv in my living room. I have an open floor plan in my home so there are no walls or structures between my kitchen or living room.
Looking into the television, you can see the reflection of the dining table in the kitchen.
After watching tv for a while I turned it off and tried to get comfortable. That is when I noticed this weird thing in the television screen. Some type of reflection of someone sitting in a chair at the dining table. I turn over to look to see who is in there and I see no one. I turn my head to look at the tv and the reflection of the person is still there. It was more like a shadow. I couldn't make out any facial features or anything. They were just sitting in a chair staring into the tv.
After analyzing it for a minute I got scared and just hid under my blankets till my roommate woke up.
It really creeped me out.
Many years ago, when I must've been experiencing my first symptoms of schizophrenia. I had what I could only identify as a dream. I was walking at night, with my mother. The image of a evil looking moon leered at me. That much I knew was a dream.
What made me feel uncomfortable was the last part, coming into my house and in a seamless transition of getting in and waking up in my bed.
great topic! I love hearing other peoples' experiences. I hate sharing these things with some people though because a lot of people are so skeptical!
Sooooo the women's bathroom is located in the conference room at work. The door naturally creeks when you open it. Most recently, I was in my office close to 10pm one night..no other coworkers were there...no one else has access to the office. I was at the copy machine (my back was facing the bathroom door), and all of a sudden I hear the door sloooooowly creeping open for a few seconds. The hair on the back of my neck stood up, and I immediately walked out and refused to look. Later, I checked to see if there was any air vent or anything that could have scientifically caused this, but I came up with nothing.
Several times now when I have worked later at night (again no coworkers), I have heard several noises. It sounds like someone is there, but when I check no one is found...creepy peepies!
My former school was very old. So old that there were bound to be a lot of ghosts around. Strangely enough I only saw something two times. Once in the lower levels of our very old library when I went to study with my friend I saw shadows of people pass by. Except they were shadows of people passing from one hallway and then no one would appear on the other side. We got spooked and ran off.
Another time one of my other friends was having terrible nightmares. I offered to sleep over to keep her company and when she went to shower early the next morning. I saw someone or something leave over to look at my face and then quickly lean back. I called out my friends name but didn't get a reply. About 12 minutes later my friend returned from showering. I didn't mention anything to her until we went out to eat and we weren't in that dorm anymore.
They were watching TV with you. No reason to be afraid, unless you feel heavy or feel that something isn't right.
I have lots of stories, but I don't want to share. I'm not afraid of them and I welcome them. However, I don't like when they take over my body.
Do you have any stories?
Back in 1997 my mother was renting out an old slave house, that sat on a historical site. They wanted someone to live there to make the area seem more...friendly? The masters house was next door, with all of the furniture and personal belongings from 200 years ago, set up like a museum. So we actually had security from 6p.m. to 6 a.m. We lived there for only a year. In that time we experienced a lot of things.
My mom would hang clothes on the line in the summer, if she forgot them over night, we would find all our stuff in absolute shreds and spread across the property. We also would hear crying on certain nights, footsteps, my mom and I would camp in the living area because our rooms creeped us out so bad. On easter, a pot of boiling eggs went flying across our kitchen, with no one standing anywhere near it. Fast forward, my mom brings home this cat...it hides under our couch. Never came out to eat, use the litter box and would make the most god awful sounds. One night mom was in the bathroom, I was watching timon and pumba, this cat comes streaking out like a demon up the walls. Mom ended up calling security...
Long story short, we left and moved in with my aunt. I still pay close attention to cats.

About 31 years ago my step-son and I saw a UFO on a clear day at noon flying just above the tree line over a small patch of woods on our way to Pontiac IL. It was flying within 300 feet of the road that we were traveling on. My step-son wanted to stop the car and get out to watch it, he was only 7 at the time. All that I could think of was the idea that we might be abducted so there was no way in hell I was going to do that. Late that night there was a military helicopter flying low around our area, hmm, what were they looking for I wonder.
I also have experienced spirits in various homes and businesses.
I was driving my car home after it just got fixed. I turned the corner and got hit. When I looked around, I saw a heart-shaped piece of glass and smelled my grandma's perfume. Also, I saw a ghost in my parents' basement when I was with my boyfriend at the time. He and I went our separate ways years ago and that's a good thing.

This happened a few years ago, around 2016. I was on a trip in Homer, AK with my mom, her friend, and her friend's two daughters. I was bored and wanted to explore the hotel but the girls wanted to sit in the room on their phones, so I walked upstairs alone and had a look around. When I decided to go back I chose the elevator as I had already taken the stairs, this is where the weird started.
The elevator stalled for some time, maybe ten seconds longer than the many times I had ridden it in the past couple days, no noise or indication of operation - no worries though, it's an old hotel but it seemed sturdy. Then it lurched and a vision passed before my eyes of an earthquake, bodies at the bottom of an elevator shaft, and a blue dress. I heard a soft voice say ,"Don't move." It came from behind me or above me, or sounded like it. Obviously spooked, I didn't move, not even to see where the voice came from. About three seconds later, the elevator started and everything went per usual.
Later I tried searching for other stories about weird happenings at this hotel and found nothing but some ghost story author claiming it was impossible for spirits/etc. to inhabit the building for whatever reason.
Sorry for any odd grammar, shooting this quickly out before I drive off.
