So guys, I did it. 2000 Major Drills quests. The fact I reached them in such a short amount of time is simply phenomenal. However, I have a doubt: Do any of you consider them profitable? So far, I haven't gotten anything good, besides random 6M+ sP retired or holiday items, but those are an exception and not the norm.
It really does not seem like Major Drills is as profitable as it should be. But does it get better after 2000 quests, or should I just wrap up my Major Drills experience and focus on other site features? I would like to see what others have to say in the matter.
Congrats!
It does not get any better. That said, I do find the occasional Subeautique item quite profitable.
I also happen to enjoy doing Drills quests. I'm picky about which ones I do. For example, I don't do the mystery box ones unless he only asks for 1 or 2 items. I don't do the Hustler sticker ones unless I have stickers I need to stick for achievements. And so forth.
Additionally, I have a tough time getting around to completing my achievements for leviathans, feeding trapped minions and scratchcards. So doing Drills quests gets me doing those things. I don't get around to fragging and recycle beast enough either, so again, an overall benefit there. For most of these, when Drills asks, I don't limit myself to what he asks for, I go above and beyond to get more stuff done toward my other achievements.
So yeah, for me Drills is definitely worth it even though I've long since completed the achievements.

Congrats on the achievement!
I always forget about Major Drills and save those quests for last, rarely bothering to do them (and I'm someone who does ALL of the other quests daily). When a friend reminds me they exist by sending a gift at his prompting or telling me they got a good prize, sometimes I do them and usually end up feeling like hey, these aren't so bad and I likely got at least one nice reward. But they're so relatively time-consuming and annoying that I always stop doing them again right away. X'D
So I guess I'd say if you have some time to kill and don't mind the tasks he assigns, go ahead and do them, and sometimes you'll get a really nice reward for it! Otherwise, there are probably more enjoyable and lucrative ways to spend your time here. Whatever you've experienced with his quests so far, for better or worse, it's going to be more of the same.
I just do the easy ones which don't cost a lot of sP. I'll feed one trapped minion or get one item from the Mystery Box etc. Free ones like feed Oatmeal are even better. I can make a small profit from selling items from easy quests and I enjoy seeing what I get.
For me? Nope. I did not bother with them at all after I got the achievement. I'd rather take the 30-60 minutes it takes me to do his quests and spend them doing something I actually enjoy. :P
You are... so brave... XD Congrats! I just really don't like his quests. He drives me nuts. And I always get really junky rewards. I haven't even done 100 of his quests. I can only be coerced to do one or a few when I'm really really bored. So, I'd say do something else. :D Unless of course you like doing them!
Kinda sounds like you have gotten some valuable things from him. :)
It's true that they aren't given for every single quest, but I think when I do Drills full-time, I get a couple of 300k+ worth items from him per day. I consider him an optional "I'm bored so why not see what he wants" type thing, and then I only do the quest if I want to do it. You can always skip around and only do the quests that you actually like to do.
