Why won't it just search for item=plain pumpkin like I ask it to?

The search isn't sophisticated enough to know what you want. There is no such item as 'plain pumpkin' however if you search for Uncarved Pumpkin and Fresh Pumpkin, those exist. :3

'Plain Pumpkin' is now 'Fresh Pumpkin.' The name was changed a while back.

I recommend using SubetaLodge over the Subeta Wiki, especially for item information; it's more up to date.
