What I want is the background to be a gradient from black to the hue of blue in this item = . The gradient must be diagonal from top left corner to bottom right corner.

Then I want a large vertical rectangle in the center with rounded edges, grey with a 2 or 3 pixel black border around it. This area is where the text goes. On the right of that rectangle is the image that I have on her profile now, slightly overlapping it like the cat(exceed) on my profile. On the left I want stars placed vertically in a similar fashion. I can do art for these stars if neccesary. These stars will be buttons that define what text appears in the text area.

If you are interested in doing this please let me know your price by replying to this thread :) I can only offer SP and morty cards as I'm still a bit of a newb here.

I just prefer there to be no text of her name on the image and for the stars to be cartoony like her art. Could you make the grey area a little wider, and the stars as buttons vertically along the edge? (kind of like how her art is)

You can use these or any of the stars on her image if you like. Maybe the buttons can be the smaller version by default, but when hovered over they become the bigger version? And there has to be text on them (preferably text I can type in the code) so people know which button leads where. (kind of like what happens at the top here, but with my star buttons instead and on the side instead of the top. And with my grey center area remaining present and the same size at all times. The source I found that profile at is this)

Hi, well I'm glad I got almost perfect off the first try hehe. Yes the stars were a problem for me as I didn't have any cartoon ones and I didn't want to go off getting heaps of items if you weren't interested ;) These stars ARE so much better, the name I just threw in for the hell of it because it wasn't mentioned in your outline so that's all good, I can remove.

Now as for the text on the stars you don't want me to put text on them you want to do that in the code once it's done (hope you checked out my forum page by the way) and you'll edit it in, sorry not to sure on what you want with that (I ask heaps of questions so I can try to get it right first time). The grey area larger, no problems, do you want the stars in a perfect line or staggered to match her (similar to the stars I used) stars and do you want X amount (please let me know how many and for what if I'm putting the text on them) of button stars at one size with a few variants of size to break up the area and again keep that side of the page similar in effect to her design (which is friggin' awesome by the way!).

Also I'm guessing they will go in the buttons but what about minion and like button and where do you want the SL?

You're not making things difficult at all by the way, you are clear with what you want and that's fantastic and makes things easier for me. By the way your 'here' link went to a 'does not exist pet' so couldn't see what you wanted me too.

The buttons purpose is the same as from the petpage above, to make different pages of content show up in the grey area. I want one button for her regular pet info (her stats, minion, treasure, I don't know what SL means but maybe that too? haha) One button for an "about me" section. (here I will put a story) One button for "fan art/trades" (here I will put art that I did art trades for and put art that was gifted to me) One button for "peers" (here I will link to other pet profiles on the condition they link back to mine as well)

That's all I can think of for now, but I might want to add more buttons later. About the placement of the buttons. Originally I wanted them alligned vertically along the left edge, but depending on how many buttons I need perhaps what you did with the first mock up(scattering them) would work better and be more fun to look at too. About the size, whatever looks good! If the stars I provided are too big feel free to resize them and rotate them however you like to make it look pretty. :D

About fonts, I don't really understand how that works with CSS. I tried looking online for a list of CSS fonts, but all I found was the difference between the font families serif, sans-serif, and monospace. Out of those I like sans serif the best.

If I can pick any of this list I choooose... Gill Sans But I'm not sure how fonts work on online pages and whether they will show up for people who don't have the font installed on their computer or not, or if there is a list somewhere with all the fonts that everyone has to choose from?

From what I read in your shop you ask 300CSC, but since you're so nice and I think the star buttons might be a hassle to code I would like to offer as payment. :)

With the text fonts that appear in story etc from my understanding is that they have to be compatible for all users, the fonts that I'd use on the stars or any where else on the page can be what ever you want as they are static like the artwork you have done (which again I state is fab!). Here's some fonts that can be used with CSS for your story text: Safe Fonts and Fancy Fonts

As I said I don't actually do the coding I do all the art side and work directly with you, I work with someone that does the coding for me, that's why I charge 300csc or equivalent as I have to pay them 300csc I don't mind taking sP etc as I'll convert it to pay them ;) Anyway they are great and will be able to do the stars like they did with Ash it's a process of linking the tabs to each item like story, TC etc.

Anyway now that I've checked in I will go and make the changes although I'm not sure where you want the spotlight situated so I'll go with the best aesthetic location, I'll use the Gill San text for the time being till you find a font you'd like to use for the buttons now that you know for them you can use anything, other wise give me an idea of what you'd like and colour and I'll search for something.

UPDATE The SL is bigger than the real thing it's like that so I could fit the text lol, is the position ok or do you want it else where? I've added all the stars for all the requested items and added a small star for pet likes as we forgot about it, I added in some of your 'spots' to make it more symmetrical with your art on the opposite side. The text is angled with the stars but can be horizontal if you'd prefer, I was also wondering would you like something on that grey to break it up when nothing is showing there? I don't know what your pet does but from the mike I gather she's musical, you could have a treble clef extremely opaque there for instance, it's only a suggestion, your pet, your choices ;)

I'm on a 17" laptop, so my screen dimensions are 1600 x 900, but I don't mind the background being bigger, I can still view it perfectly fine at the current size.

I really love what you did with the spots on the left side and the text on the stars! :D though I'd like the star buttons to slightly overlap the area where the text comes. Can they go a little more to the left so that it doesn't overlap too much? I made a white-ish square to show the dimensions of the text box:

I didn't know there could be an image in the stext area that would disappear when a button is clicked, that's really cool! A treble clef is a really good idea :D I'd love that very much~

I don't understand why a pet spotlight would need a whole tab of it's own. Can you please tell me what it entails besides just a trophy? (>////<) If it's just a trophy I'm perfectly happy with it being on the same tab as stats :)

On the stars, the Fan Art & Trades look a bit cluttered, so let's make that Art instead :) I'll just make links in the text box itself at the top that devide into fan art/trades and maybe even adoptables if I feel creative xD I just realized we need a star for Credit as well, so I can credit you and your coder on the page~ I don't need a star for likes though, as I'll just put that info in her about me tab. ;) We can keep the little star for easthetic though (just without the little heart in it) Minion star was a really good call! Her minion plays a big role in her life so it definitely deserves a tab of its own, thanks!

As for the font for on the stars, I'm really not picky :) Whatever you think is pretty works for me.

Hi, ok first off, you're not really paying two people, I basically do these for nothing I just have to cover the cost of his fees, in the shop it says I just need to pay him (which is 300csc) and then you can pay me what ever you think the profile is worth. So when you pay me it has to be the minimum of 300csc or the equivalent (that lets me pay the coder) then you can give me csc/sp/$ to the value of what you think the work is worth, hell you can go meh 10sp will do and well that's fine, I said pay what you want. (OMG please don't you'd break my heart lol). Hope I cleared that up and not made it harder as one of my cats is being a nut and distracting me while I try to type this!

The faint image will always be there unless you don't have a transparent text box, I can make it extremely light so it wont distract from the text, I'll make up 2 mock ups tomorrow, one with and one with out so you can decide. Pet spotlight and the pet like button have to go into their own separate tabs they can't be linked together sorry and I don't believe you can put the like into her story/about me as that again is in it's own separate bit of code, I will double check but I'm pretty sure that's a nope. Have a look at Ash's profile again (above) so you can see how the SL (spotlight) works in size etc if you aren't 100% sure. Can make a credits star and can shrink the box as well as move stars further to the left, I can also if you'd like make an extra star so you can have one for Art and one for Trades. The like heart (just thought of this) I can get it coded into that star so it's only just visible and as close to the star colour as possible for you. As for the font on the stars that really is a personal choice, if it were me I'd go something in the comic sans or free style to keep with the feel of the page. You can also check out fonts at places like Font Generator and Da Font

Did these real quick before I head to bed, this is just to make sure I've got the box size correct, I've added in the extra star as mentioned above, and these are both with different Treble clefs although I'm not so sure on them now but I'm tired so my decisions aren't to be trusted atm ;)

I'm really confused on the pet spotlight button and pet like buttons right now :P I tried to look for it on Ash's profile, but all I could find was main paige(story) actionfigures(pet treasure), minion(pet minion), and credits. Where on ash's page can I find the spotlight or pet likes? ;w; I like the idea you suggested of the little stars as sub buttons for the art, but if it starts to look too cluttered I'm happy with a single art button too.

Also thanks for clearing up the payment thing (also cat shenanigans xD I can relate, my cat likes to parade on my laptop as well from time to time.) Thanks for linking me to those font websites! I suppose something like this, or this is kind of like comic sans but more fancy! :D

Ash has his SL in the top left of screen, if I over explain this and you knew this already, sorry. The SL comes up as this pet can be nominated for the pet spotlight then when someone nominates your pet it says This pet has been nominated for the pet spotlight then when you win the trophy appears, now the trophy will stay there permanently on the screen unless it's in a drop down (up/sideways depending on where you put it) tab. I personally don't want the trophy sitting on my pet page all the time so opt to have it in the drop down tab, most people do go this route. Update Just heard from my friend and yes the SL has to be in it's own tab and the heart/like can't go in the story it must go with your pet info as in it's name/species/ownership or in a separate section outside of these fields ie a star of it's own. This also raises the point of where are you putting your pet species/colour and ownership (see Spotlight Rules] this will explain the needs for that a lot better than I can and are you including the pet picture or just your art to represent the pet on her profile? If you include a pic of the actual pet you can put all this info AND the heart in that tab.

The like button on Ash's profile is so faint it's hard to find have a look at

I've downloaded the Kidstar Font to use for you as out of the two that was the clearest to read especially when you consider it has to be relatively small to fit onto the stars.

I knew I misunderstood the whole like thing xD It took me visiting sam's page to find out it's literally just that, a button to press to give the pet a "like" like is done on youtube or facebook LOL. Before this I thought it was just a piece of text on what the pet likes to do haha, which is why I was so confused that it couldn't be incorporated into the about tab, but now I understand why. :P Same with the pet spotlight, thanks for explaining it to me, I didn't know any of it so I appreciate the help <3

About the anime convention, yesterday was a mix of good and bad. I got a lot of compliments about my cosplay (which I didn't expect haha, i wasn't even a specific character, just random star trek discovery personel) but on the down side I felt nauseas a lot and my headaches didn't seise :( I took a bunch of painkillers but it just wouldn't go away. Today I took oxasepam and no nausea, no headaches. So today was really awesome :D Just sucks that my anxiety is so bad that I can't enjoy myself without a hard drug like oxasepam :( Tomorrow's the last day of the cnvention so I'm taking it again. (not gonna risk having friday over again..) It's addicting though so I can only use it when I go to conventions, and hense why I tried friday without it, but unfortunately the difference is phenomenal. This means I can go away on weekend trips, but never on actual holidays that last more than 3 days, because it would be bad to take it many days in a row. I've always wanted to go to Japan, but that will never happen, not unless I somehow get cured of my anxiety :(

So glad I explained it well, I hate trying to explain things through text I get all 'muddled', anyway yes, I'll create a star that you click on and brings up the actual pet (gathering there is no custom job being done atm anyway?) with all the info and that allusive like button ;)

Oh I'm sorry you weren't well enough to enjoy the first day but at least you can enjoy the rest of the time, I know what anxiety is like so I do sympathise (I'm agoraphobic with depression and anxiety I like things in 3's lol), depending on what causes your anxiety, hypnosis and cognitive behavioural therapy can be a help, of course that is a case to case thing as everyone reacts differently to different methods. Cognitive helped me start to get out of the house which means I can now get my fur babies to the vets without having to depend on my brother to take us, which has made a huge difference.

Will get on with your profile today and then if it's all as you want it I shall put it in for coding so you should have it in the next few days as long as Johnny isn't swamped, he's doing a profile for me atm so I can bump mine down to get yours done first ;)

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with anxiety too :( I'm trying hypnotherapie, which is pretty much relaxing methods combined with lifestyle changes, such as going outside daily, positive re-enforcement, and listening to a 20 minute tape every day which is supposed to be the hypnosis part, but it's not like in movies so I'm still conscious through the whole thing. Progress is very slow, not fast enough since I want to get back on the horse and finally graduate college, so I'm going to try anti-anxiety medication in the hopes that in time it will be as effective as oxasepam. This anxiety just has my life on a stand-still/recovery mode, which I really hate :( I just want to be able to function like my peers.
