The sound of rain hitting the window? The smell of fresh cut grass or burning logs? Maybe just the feeling of being swaddled in your blankets. There are so many things that make me happy that I tend to forget about when I'm having an off day, so I thought I'd help remind you of yours.
What makes you happy?
ooh this is a good thread :-)
plants. being around them, growing them, collecting them, listening to the sound of their soil soaking up water going to sleep with the windows open and a storm outside baking something i'm proud of and being able to share it with other people a good cuddle with my cat
Oooo, these are all really good... I'm especially fond of kitty cuddles! ♥
kitty cuddles i feel fix a lot of stuff. any general worries or stress or anxiety you got goin on, just get a cat in your lap and it all melts away. an added bonus: a gentle headbutt from a cat!
Ambient noise things that are basically a thunderstorm and a crackling fireplace. Optionally sometimes sounds like pages flipping, writing, and people walking around to make me feel like I'm not alone.
Also cooking. I stress cook, and then I get to eat what I made. I just made a huge pan of baked macaroni and cheese the other day, and I really love making jalapeno poppers because they're so much work but so worth it. Making things like muffins and cupcakes I can share with the people across the hall from us and watching her kids say a quick 'thanks' before daring off with their treats always makes me smile too.
Sometimes I lay in bed and my cats will just come in, or my dog will jump into bed with me and they'll just cuddle up. I get afraid to move and disturb them, especially when they just fall asleep on me, but it makes me happy anyway.
What a wholesome thread!! ^w^ My boyfriend makes me incredibly happy. He always knows exactly what to say and how to react, even when I am being a moody little brat or needing extra reassurance from my anxiety being too loud. c: He's an angel, and everything about him makes me so happy.
I like interacting with people (online lol bc anxiety of social events xD), and I think that makes me happy! Anytime I am sent a gift or a comment I get so happy for some reason!! And I love talking to people and being kind to others! It makes me feel uplifted and happy!
I collect Disney Tsum Tsum plushies, hence the username, and they make me happy too lol. They're so cute and lovable!! I love collecting them! The ones that make me extra happy are my complete Haunted Mansion collection. That's my fave ride in the parks. ^w^
Finally (I'll stop listing things after this, I promise!!), listening to my favorite music makes me happy. If I get to play twenty one pilots in the car and nobody complains, I feel very happy!
It's so fun reading what makes other people happy!
What makes me the most happy is hanging out with my husband, no matter what we are doing ❤ I also love cozying up in bed and watching my favorite youtubers or anime, also singing!
my kids, pets, video games, and sushi
Always looking for collectables!
Animals in general, being surrounded by plants that Ive managed to keep alive (I didnt know I could do that), Hearing friends support me in a sincere way, Sharing a quiet smile or look with a stranger
Things that make me happy? The smell of petrichor. The soft texture of my cat's fur and his soft rumbling purr, especially when he's trying to comfort me while I'm sick. Comic panels of Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye or Transformers: Lost Light, whether in-context or out of context. The satisfaction of beating a tough level on a video game, especially a tough level on Super Mario Maker 2. The feel of fresh mixed media paper in a sketchbook. The sound of an alcohol marker against the paper. The calming sight of a ceiling fan when I'm watching it. The comfortable feeling of my favorite pair of capri pants. The satisfaction of adding more and varied clothing to my wardrobe both in real life and on Subeta.
I've got flames on my chest. It's a lot to live up to.

Cuddling with my fiancée, spending time with my pets, talking to my friends, gay rights
rain
I genuinely get the urge to just twirl around in the rain whenever it rains haha :') such a lovely sound and smell to rain too
otherwise, watching movies, silence, no one bothering me, yep, the little things
Freshly brewed coffee, ferret kisses, ferret sleepy snuggles, freshly washed underwear, freshly washed bedding, oversized comforters, new tattoos, spending time with my parents and brother, morning cuddles with my girlfriend, rainy days when I have hot chocolate, the smell of anything citrus, random smiles from strangers.
Sunny weather, freshly baked Christmas cookies, people saying "let's cook vegan", people complimenting my style choices, seeing moms with their babies, being invited to parties, people messaging me after not having talked in a long time, good food, donating blood, the snoring sound of my bunny, getting postcards, discovering a really good movie, funny fun facts, picking fruit from my parents' garden but most of all: Traveling. There is nothing as fulfilling.

It may sound odd, but work. Throwing myself onto my bed after a long day of tough, hard work, leaves me feeling entirely fulfilled and satisfied with myself. I can't have enough days filled to the brim with it. I've found that if I'm unable to keep myself busy, that is when undesirable feelings and thoughts come about. Work keeps me content, strangely enough, and I've generally found it easier to not attempt to question it. ^^
My dog, Zelda. She's a chocolate lab and therefore perpetually happy. Even when I'm really in a mood I can't help but smile when I see her bouncing around and wagging her tail.
Getting into a flow state with a hobby (drawing, soldering projects, digging for rocks, building models, etc.) and finding that I've accomplished something. Productivity on my own terms. (I don't get particularly excited about the fruits of my labor going to enrich others, sorry capitalists.)
Receiving random messages from people who think I'm interesting and worthy of getting to know but that practically never happens because I'm weird and boring
Listening to my favorite music, of course.
Snow. Thunderstorms. Any extreme or unusual weather, really.
Solitude in nature: stargazing alone in a dark field, going on a walk through the forest, kayaking, etc. Although tbh these tend to result in more of a...melancholy contentment...than "happiness". I enjoy these activities a great deal but they lend themselves to a lot of introspective thinking and I'm really nihilistic and cynical so guess how that turns out...
Learning new things, whether it's just some little tidbit of trivia or picking up a new skill. New experiences. Travel. Novelty in general.
