I don't know about anyone else but I hate this new change. I click on food items in inventory to see whether or not my gourmand pet has eaten it and now I have to do account searches on all of them. Blah. Wish they'd change it back.

if your pet hasn't it still shows up - this pet as ate it before -

So I'm confused now as all I keep getting for every food item in my inventory is "Only hungry pets are shown below." over and over again. Annoying.
CWs for Sale or Trade https://subeta.net/user_shops.php/shop/24266
That's not what that means. It just means that the pet isn't hungry at the present time.
I actually really like it, because I can put all the rest of my pets in the resort and only my gourmand pet will show up on the list. However, I can understand how frustrating it would be if you can't see the name on the list.
I'd recommend using the Account Search feature instead if you know your gourmand pet is full. It will show if you've fed the item to your pet or not. Edit: Just saw you're already doing account searches. If you don't like that option, alternatively, you could keep track on Subetalodge as well. :)
Another method is - and I know this will be a lot of work at first, but - wishlist every food item you still need. OR, just wishlist r1-r99 and holiday/retired rarity: things that you're likely to receive during quests or restock. This is what I ended up doing and it saves all time when it comes to knowing whether or not your gourmand has eaten it.
D'oh! I totally misunderstood that. Sorry about that.

[edit] I think I misunderstood your frustration, sorry. I guess you're trying to check while your pet is fully fed, which I can understand being annoying... :(

That's right. All my pets including gourmand are in the resort. I only take her out if I need to feed her for an achievement but until then I check food items and stash any she hasn't eaten into my vault to save for later. But now with this change I have to do account search on all of them, which is kinda annoying.

Maybe change your modus operandi and keep your gourmand pet out of the resort? It'll save you a lot of effort. You won't need to stash most items into your vault - you will be able to feed her right away - and you won't need to find a work-around for the hungry pet dilemma.
I hate this new change. I only feed my gourmand, and I check every food to know if she's eaten it yet, and I can't do this after I've fed her. I don't want to account search every food and then click on it again to either feed it, send it to my vault or my shop.
I want this changed back.
Seconding pickle. I know a lot of users enjoy the new feature, but I prefer how it used to be. Would it be possible to code something to allow users to select/assign one of their pets as a Gourmand? Then, this pet could always be shown on the food's page so that the user could see if the Gourmand had eaten it before, but the user's other pets would only show up if they were hungry.
That is an option, but for some of us our gourmand pets are also our battle pets, and they can't battle if we just leave them hungry all the time. So it still isn't a perfect solution.
I usually do leave my gourmand pet out of the resort when I have food items waiting to feed to him, but otherwise I'll keep him there while I let some things build up so he can still battle whenever I get the urge to do so.
Yeah, I can understand that. I'm lucky in that my gourmand and my battler are two separate pets, though I have had times when my battler wasn't in the resort and I just fed her an item at a time as I needed. Still takes a lot of time, which can be precious if you're busy.
Plus there is that "admit all" resort option for GA users which is appealing if you have a lot of pets, and it doesn't give you the option to admit all but one.
I don't mind the change, but then again, I keep all of my pets hungry all the time and my gourmand pet is at the bottom of my pets list. :x So the change does not affect me in any way.
fwiw, that GA perk is useless. If even one of your pets is in the resort (including Veta Lake resort itself), you get an error and can't check your pets in. Made a thread about it in suggestions because I don't know if it's a bug or a feature.
If you put all of your pets into the resort, as soon as they're fed/played with they'll all show up on the page where you pick all of your weapon sets, scroll sets and the pet that's gonna do the battling. Subeta is kind of odd with that, but I think having multiple "active" pets set to do a specific thing each would get really confusing. :/
I want to like this change, but unfortunately my battler and my gourmand are the same pet.
Being at almost tier 13 and having nearly 9k foods fed to my pet.... There isn't much I can do to get around this new change without just creating a ton of extra work to double check items now and I've already sold a handful of items I needed which is frustrating... (Like it's not feasible for me to change my battle or gourmand pet and I don't have enough foods that are affordable to just feed and not resort my pet for the majority of the time now. :S)
I wish we could toggle this because I'd hate to take it from someone who finds it useful but it's been one of my biggest frustrations while questing now. :S
I just dislike the message because it pushes my top pet (my gourmand) off of the page, so now I have to scroll.
Same problem here. It's not that I cannot do account search, it's that it takes twice the time to get there instead of just having to open up the item page. So if I want to continue using the convenient message on the item page, this means that
Honestly one of my biggest pet peeves right now. What said: wish we could toggle this on and off because while it seems to be great for some, it's also extremely annoying for some of us!
Personally I hate it because the text takes up extra space, I'm dealing with a small laptop screen and I can only zoom so far out to speed things along. But that's probs just me.
The gourmand checking issue is also a problem of course. Wouldn't it be easier and clearer if they just put a "Pet full" note beside their names instead along with if they've eaten it before? Seems more logical to me.
💋
A bit late to the party, but I tended to use this for Gourmand sorting 9 times out of 10. I was immediately annoyed at the change. Not a fan at all.
Toggle Off would be great. Or just changing it back and indicating hunger some other way.
I just don't see how this is supposed to be that helpful when every food item fed states current hunger level of the pet. Why not just indicate if pets are hungry in some other way if that's something people really want? An icon, a font, something that isn't this? It's not difficult to click or refresh the pet page to see all pet hunger levels either... Meanwhile, for sorting, we have to account search every food item? Seems like far more of an inconvenience for us than checking pet hunger levels was for everyone else.
My two cents.
Between this slowed down sorting and the missing "remove one" from account search slowing down questing... I've basically just not been doing anything on here but bathhouse/rift. Questing has been a chore, and without questing, my sp doesn't regenerate as fast as I need it to for everything I like to do for fun. I'm cool with the Subeta time sink (1.5 hrs per day minimum to do the basic daily stuff)... but adding even more time to the not-fun parts? facepalm

Also not a fan of the change. I feed all my pets and it irritates my OCD if I feed them new things out of order because somebody's name didn't show up on the list so I could save the rest of that item for later, and later I see that I missed that one and I have to lock a copy in my inventory until that pet gets hungry again.
I know this is dumb, but that's my brain.
(Also honestly I'd be perfectly happy not to have a random number generator determine whether my pet likes food or books or not because I have had pets who work for Subeautique call fashion books a waste of paper and then wax ecstatic about something like "Funky Feet". I have ideas about their personalities that are not consistent with the random number generator's results plus it's an extra clickthru when the site is laggy.)
