I recently picked up a pet that says they were born in December 31st 1969 and wondering how this would be? Have seen a few other pets with similar born dates, if anyone could shed light on this? Thanks so much.

pets' creation dates are recorded in unix time, which is the number of seconds that have elapsed since midnight on january 1, 1970 (the unix epoch). sometimes this number glitches and overflows to a negative value, placing the date just before the unix epoch, which would be december 31, 1969.

i'd say congrats on the rare pet! some people find it pretty neat to have glitched pets like that. :P

Thank you for the information, I didn't know there was glitched pets, lol. I mainly adopted cause I was looking for an lower id or nice names to zap, wasn't expecting to locate a rare pet, kind of surprised someone would release on of those but that would work for the pet I was hoping to name switch for, lol.
