I decided to rift a pet bc i wanted the forum title but it actually just.... TOOK my pet! now i feel so bad about abandoning my pet like that :cccc

They do come back after a few days. That said, I'm not a fan of the rift 'color' very much, but your pet will return...in time.

Yup, they still occupy the pet slot so that the pet has room to come back :D Mine took a day, but some take a while.

The pet slot is frozen so that you can't put another pet into it so your Rift pet will have someplace to return to. When this first started it took a day or 2 for them to return but then I believe it went down to just 12 hours, that's how long the pet I Rifted took to come back. Good luck.
