I have a 30% Discount Card but noticed that when I get a main shop buff it seems to override the 30% discount card and I only get the 15% off from the main shop buff. I thought I used to still get the 30% off even though I had the main shop buff of 15%. Maybe I am confused. Could someone explain and help clear me up on this matter? Thank you!
Mine appears to be stacking? (Although I'm only using a 10% off card.)
Purchased Gargoyle Fragments (original price 500sP)
Gargoyle Fragments I see you have a discount card! I'll give you a discounted price of 383 sP! Gargoyle Fragments has been added to your inventory.
Your main shop discount buff gave you 15% (75 sP) off the main price!
500 * .90 *.85 = 382.5 (original) * (discount card) * (buff) = (final price)
I realized that I didn't know the answer either, and was busy crunching all the numbers and couldn't figure out why I couldn't figure out how I got the result I got until reading your post! Thanks!
I get the same result as Shakespeare, with a 30% card and buying Hamachi Sushi: 2372 x .70 x .85 = 1411 sP
So it does stack both, it's just that it's taking the second discount off the first discounted total which isn't very intuitive (at least to me).
Next time you get them both going, read the page carefully. You will see that they're both applied and the site tells you each one.
"Stacking" is the word everyone is using here, and to me this word means additive only. Which it does not do it is multiplication, so there's nothing to intuit here.
It works like a department store use-our-credit-card discount that is applied to the price generated after their clearance discount is applied to their "original price". If you live in the USofA and go to brick-and-mortar stores, it's very common thing to happen, and not surprising.
Thank you all for your help! I did the calculations and it does appear to be working correctly. :)
