Apparently she passed peacefully in her sleep last night at the age of 92. I'm very sad, this woman and her husband were pioneers of the paranormal and known in most recent years for horror movies based around real cases they investigated. But those movies will remain, and hopefully those in the paranormal field will never forget her and all she did.

That's so sad! May she RIP!

No matter what you think of her in a thread I intended to be in her memory that was extremely uncalled for.

While I give her credit for sparking an interest in the paranormal for a lot of people, there's no point in denying she was a controversial figure later in life. The Amityville Horror was made up, after all.
