I currently have Clip Studio Paint Pro but it seems that no or few CW artists use that, which means I can't get much advice or help on the subject - which is annoying when dealing with rejections for things like my linework/brushes and apparent resizing issues. So I'm looking for other, better art programs to draw CWs on. Preferably ones that are cheap or even free.
EDIT: Shout out to who just gave me SAI for free, the absolute legend.
I use Photoshop, and I think there's an older free version out there somewhere ? Have you by chance looked at tutorials on your program ? Some people swear by it, and also say it's better than Photoshop. Some quick things I saw upon searching (a program I don't use or understand, aha), are: Making sure the dpi isn't high (300 is good) Check the anti aliasing is right (0 I think ?) Vector layers are more recommended over rasters
Again, this was a quick look up for a program I don't use. I tend to look things up for Photoshop a lot when something is amiss so that I can get advice on specific things by people that really know it.
I'm not presently a CW artist, but I'm definitely interested to hear what programs everyone is using. I have FireAlpaca and have considered trying my hand at CWs, but don't know if it's well suited to this sort of thing or not. :0 I'm not invested enough in the idea to pay for and learn a whole new art program at the moment, but if I do end up dabbling it might be good to know beforehand if the program I have will work out, haha~ Anyone using/used FA for CWs successfully in the past?
