I've been buying items to frag a lot lately, and I was wondering: does the rarity of an item still affect how many crystals you can get from fragging it? I've noticed I usually tend to get between 300-370 crystals for every 250 items I frag, but that's not taking item rarity into account.
yes rarity does affect it. Not by enough to care, given how cheap Humming Power Crystals are, but yes it does matter.
Do you know what rarities give a higher chance for more crystals? Is the cutoff for higher chances at R66 like it was before?
I do not know the answer nor can I find the guide that used to exist. Nowadays even below 65 you can get a guarantee of one crystal when it used to be one half or one in three, and as it goes up higher you can get three or four. The amount of RL time needed to sort out which high-rarity items are selling for fragmentizing price is easily as much or more than the time I might spend buying HPC outright or fragmentizing less rare items.
So I really don't track this. Maybe someone else will know.
Hmm, okay. Guess I'll just keep doing my usual fragging method. Thanks for the info, though.
I decided to test this out.
Rarity from 1-65, Retired 101, Melody 115, Special 150, Game prize 160 and holiday 175 all give out the same. Approximately 1.5 crystals per item. So if you frag 100 items, you should get around 150 crystals + or - 5.
Rarity from 66-85 (rare) give more. Around 2.5 crystals per item.
Rarity from 86-99 (super rare) give the most, and also most variable. I fragged 100 items and got 282 crystal, then fragged 100 more and got 310 crystals. So probably an average of about 3 crystals per item.
