Over the whole of Masquerade I have gotten a single duel which seems a lot less than last year. I'm wondering if maybe he can only appear on your most recent dance and since I tend to open all my dance floor links at once I'm missing loads of chances, can anyone confirm or deny this? I'm guessing I'm probably just unlucky this year :(

Yeah, I feel the same way. I got tons of duels last year, but this year I haven't gotten a single one. Dunno if it's a glitch or just me lol

it is not constrained to most-recent-dance. I have come back to Subeta after a nap/going to work/doing chores and some very old dances will result in challenge. I think it's random.

I have been getting one challenge per day, which is about what it has been in the past. Normally I'd say both of you are just unlucky, but the hunger chron is broken. didn't discover this until they had already explained it was the RNG instead and that they had analyzed it and it was working properly according to them just unlucky.

It's not limited to your most recent dance, but I do think it works similarly to the floating items where you can only have one up at a time (so if you were to get two duel chances in two different tabs, only one would actually work). Something to maybe watch for when you're opening a lot of links at once.

I've gotten....4 or 5 duels I think? I won two and don't remember for sure how many I lost. I don't check the ballroom consistently because I'm lazy, but I can confirm they've been going out, at least when I've been looking

Oh I see, I don't open them all in separate tabs, but sequentially. Yes, Gossip NPC Boudewijn is sitting there tapping his foot.

I don't think they're exactly like floating items because floaters also have a time delay and I've gotten two duels one right after another.

I win about half the time, so as far as I can tell there is no AI behind NPC Boudewijn's choices, it's all RNG. He's not drunk like Gossip NPC Anthony, but he is a ridiculous aristocrat so of course he's random.

I haven't gotten two duels at once in my sea of tabs yet this year so I'm not 100% sure on that. I could be misremembering, but I feel like I remember getting frustrated about finally seeing a duel, and then seeing an extra one that I couldn't accept :P

ah thank you that's good to know! It's worthwhile to accept your dances one-by-one if you are going for the duel Achievement then. Me I do it just because I play fashion-critic on the dance floor. :)

I'd say unlucky. Yesterday I got two duel requests in a row when I came back to find a few dances waiting for me. Like, literally, I got one and then the next dance sparked another.

I open them individually, however, and always go to the dance floor no matter what. It takes a while but I've gotten about 10 so far this Masq.

i've only gotten one duel request this year, a couple of days into the event, and haven't seen a single one since. but i feel like that's the case every year for me, i almost only ever get one or two duels per year (except last year, i remember getting an unusually high amount last year).

I've gotten five today! Participating in this thread was a bonanza for me.

I've gotten three all event and two were today. I go to the dance floor to check almost every chance I get, so I feel like the odds might be lower than last year.

I'm gonna go with lowered odds. I've had maybe 5-6 all event and I open all mine one by one and go to the dance floor sighs
