If I create or transform one of my pets into a Bumbus, could I transfer them directly to someone without it becoming a Common Kumos or something like this? idk if I could reach this info by the BB adoption page because I have the maximum number of pets atm.

I thought direct transfers kept all of the colors/species intact? Good question, since I haven't heard anyone mention it since prior to all these "special" pets like bumbus and blobs and whatnot.

Pretty sure that's still true, it's just abandoning the pet that makes it lose its special species/color

I can confirm they will maintain their coloring/species through a transfer. Just the other day I transferred a harvest bumbus with no issue; I've also transferred hydrus pets before without them losing their color.

Bhakoru are another of the transform-when-pounded species, and I have successfully made one and transferred it directly to someone who doesn't have access to the inner chamber of the Excavation Site.
