What's with the skimpy quests?

3-700 reward at Maleria (hundred, yes), 70k at Saggi, WTH?! The great crash was way back in 2008...
Yeah, I've been noticing some pretty low results too. I think they tweaked the quests without telling us.

I only notice an increase if you do a 3 item quest and even then she barely gives out anything worth while...

I've kind of always felt that Maleria can be hit-or-miss in terms of rewards. Sometimes I barely break even with her requests; sometimes I lose. Sometimes, though maybe less rare, I can make out quite nicely. Because of this, and because her requests take the longest (since she often asks for three items), I save hers for last/not at all when I'm pressed for time.
Saggitarius has a few where he doesn't pay out enough, but on the whole I get a significant net gain from doing his quests (usually around +1,000,000 sP after all of them are completed). I chalk up his inconsistencies to his own admitted inability to know how much things are worth.
Monetary quest rewards have definitely been lower for several weeks. I used to average 4-5m in monetary rewards for quests, now it's always less than 4m. I think it's because staff were tweaking quest rewards to compensate for the addition of Morty Cards (worth around 2.5m).
Yeah, I do all my quests pretty much every day and I've definitely noticed the reduced payouts, particularly Saggi. He didn't give so many under-100k rewards in the past; that was pretty rare and if it happened, it might be like 98k. Now it's not unusual to receive only 70-80k from his quests. This is exacerbated by the fact that everything he asks for has been a bit inflated lately, probably because so many of us persist in doing all the quests despite reduced sP in hopes of earning Morty Cards.
That said, I'm not too bothered by it because 1. Morty Cards and 2. I still make an overall profit even though I take a loss on several quests every day. But they were definitely nerfed - at least Saggi was for sure.
