Is there anyone here or plays or played rhythm games?

I loved to play DDR as a kid, and now I'm addicted to Bang Dream!

Yo! If you liked tap tap and you're into anime you would LOVE bang dream! It plays very similarly, but you get to collect cute anime art. ^_^

I haven't heard of cytus 2! Is it also a phone game?

I did have bangdream and I started playing it for a little while, but I think there's like a band management aspect that I just couldn't get into? >.< I might be mistaken.

Cytus 2 is amaze!! It's available for phone and for tablet. Beautiful art, catchy music, fun charts and it has an interesting story mode that unlocks while you play!! The only criticism I have for it is that dlc for it averages about $1 per song and can rack up if you're planning to unlock all songs.

GOD YES.

Rhythm games are my jam. Bang Dream, Utapri, & Love Live! are the ones I mostly play on mobile, and on my console I adore the Persona dancing games.

Oof, those micro-transactions x_x I'll definitely check it out thought! (Unrelated but I love your HA and your Chibi wow!!)

That's fair!! I actually fell out of love live when I got into Bang Dream lol (specifically when the english version of Bang Dream came out!). I guess it just depends on the kind of gameplay you prefer?

YES!!!! Smail me about Bang Dream?? I need more friends that play! lol I played love live for so long, but I'm a bit of a completionist, and keeping on top of both love live and Bang Dream was rough for me.

I played VOEZ on mobile, and have the Nintendo Switch version. It's by Rayark, the same developers behind Cytus, so those of you who mentioned Cytus might want to check VOEZ out too. :)

The mobile version has the same microtransaction system as Cytus, so it will be expensive to get all tracks. If you have a Switch, I recommend getting that version. Unlike mobile it isn't free to download, but you get ALL the tracks and it's much cheaper this way. I've had it since launch (it was released the same day as the Switch), and there have been a couple of free updates adding lots more tracks.

It plays great on Switch, and there is an option to use the controller instead of touch screen.

Lately I've been playing Beat Saber on PSVR too. If you have a VR system that supports it, highly recommend! It is so much fun! :D

/inches in Hello I am in idol hell. And Bandori hell.

But yeah overall I looooove rhythm games. Been playing them for a long time. I don't currently play them as much as I used to, I tend to take breaks every now and then. I always have such bad luck with the gacha rolls and sometimes it turns me off for a little.

The only rhythm game I can remember playing is Rhythm Heaven. It's excellent. It's so wonderful I had to come post about it. Every so often I go back and play through it because I enjoy it so much. My version of it is broken, though, and won't save. So I work up from the beginning every time. I should try and get another copy so I can save my progress.

Thank you!

I really liked Taiko Drum Master (Taiko no Tatsujin). I got it (via.... methods) on my DS in college, and played the heck out of it. It was just a fun, difficult rhythm game. The two DS games, plus Elite Beat Agents/Ouendan, were my mainstays in college.

I'm really enjoying Crypt of the Necrodancer lately. Looking forward to Cadence of Hyrule when it comes out this weekend. Nothing like a rhythm-based roguelike.
