uhhh not sure if there's anything anyone can suggest buuuuut thought I'd pop on in anyway.
I paid specifically for the Butterfly Bruise strain (listed as "growth" on the VIP page) like a week ago and never got it. never got infected, kept checking the page and it said to wait, and now the VIP page is shut down with Survival being over so I can't check anything. I'm a little peeved that my sP went to this yet it... never went through. :l went for Butterfly Bruise because it's my favorite, so I figured I'd have a wait time with it being a certain strain versus a random one. it's not in my skins either.
does anyone know why this is (or if there's any sort of announcement/thread discussing this)? should I submit a bug report?
I had the same issue with my last attempts at random VIP strains. I cancelled the first one after 3 days and tried the last one a couple days before the end of survival. Never received any type of notifications or strain progress.
Submit a ticket. There were all sorts of bugs happening during the event. Many of the bug threads were already locked because staff thought things were fixed. But there have been others who have complained of buying infections a while back and not have it start and/or progress.

thank you ;o; I was hoping that users could offer a solution but makes sense -- I appreciate your reply!!
[edit] Sorry I missed your reply, Stake! I wasn't sure if it was just me, glad to know otherwise.
I know that if you don't get any bites, it can take longer to get infected. However, I thought it was more like a few days or so to get the infection, not like a week or longer. It's probably worth submitting a ticket just to ask about it at least. If the infection somehow never registered in the system and went through, they should be able to refund your sP.
I don't mind the wait, but I just never got infected to begin with and that's the problem.
So long as you signed up for it during survival, you should get it. Without bites the strain is left up to the slow queue to go through, but if it seems like it's been too long I don't think making a ticket to confirm you're still actually in the queue would hurt.
