is there anywhere i can find that recipe list for the Genetech Lab that is more easily searchable by ingredients than the one on subeta lodge? The one on the wiki seems incomplete.

there's no way to search by ingredients other than the wiki, and SubetaLodge isn't really set up that way. It's a wiki and is as up to date as there are people who want to do it. There aren't all that many Genetech Combos, so the likelihood you have any particular ingredient is low to start with.

on SubetaLodge you can search notes and all genetech items have the ingredients in the note section.

On the search widget on the dashboard, just enter the item you want to check and then click where it says name and change it to item notes. Example, Item Notes search for Angelic Puff Wings and it will bring up 8 Ball Puff.

That's decently helpful, but mostly I've been wanting to search the reverse, as in, what can I turn these various unadorned swords into? Or which items does this type of leather make? Like I keep getting things I'm MOSTLY sure are ingredients and I want to know what else I need to buy to make something

also I can't figure out which search where you're talking about. There seem to be 3 I've tried that DON'T have anything I can switch to item notes

The search bar on the right-hand side has a dropdown where you can select Item Notes. Alternatively, you could just use this page and put your search term in the Notes Search box, but if only one item happens to match, it'll take you straight to that page instead of staying on the list page
