Hi all, Looking for some advice to raise pets' intelligence for better jobs in the job agency -

e.g. one pet has ~770 intelligence from ~750 books, but I'm finding the ~1700 books it hasn't read all really pricey (100,000s - millions)!

Thanks in advance c:

Complete Shinwa's quest everyday - some of her items can raise intelligence.

Complete Quentin's quests and turn in the amulets you get to the Mage. Tomes from the amulets can boost intelligence.

100k is still pretty cheap for books. And it's more or less the way to go until books start costing around 800k-1m. Boosters, like the ones mention, run about 1 millionish per intellect point. If you're active during New Year, Survival, Masquerade, and Vesnali you can get a lot of 'free' books for holiday tokens, and there's a ton of holiday shop books now. Don't forget to hit up Go Outside, Medicontra, and the Zombie Den for more books.

Some common boosters: 1 int 1 int, 1 health 1-3 int There are a couple other Shinwa flavored intellect boosters, but they don't guarantee any intellect.

tomes from the mage may give you intellect and can be read, but are probably not worth the cost if you're not boosting stats on a high tier pet.

Sorry I don't have a nicer or cheaper answer. Intellect is just expensive. Ask any battler, we know your pain.

& thanks for the help!

I didn't know that so many books were in the 100,000s range until looking at 'books not read' list today! Good to know I'm not alone in this sentiment

I was going to say you could play Mystic Spindles and buy intelligence directly, but it sounds like you're beyond that! XD You can still use the points to buy books in the Mystic Spindles shop, though.

if you use the book checklist feature on subetalodge, you can sort unread books by user price to find relatively cheaper ones first. and as others have said, stat boosters such as tomes and shinwa rewards can give you an extra boost.

Books are expensive because battlers also need intelligence to gain AP to use scrolls. The higher the AP, the more scrolls you can equip. For battlers, tomes are the best way to go since they guarantee intel with other stats. If you are not interested in battling, then it would be cheaper to buy intel boosters. There are also these intel ones in addition to shinwa items

The vending machine and job agency also have the chance to award intel.

Ironically when I read your title I was going to suggest getting a job!

When you collect income every day, there is a chance for a stat boost, such as intelligence.

I would recommend getting employed by Asmodeus. It's what all my pets are employed with because I did the math a while ago that it makes the most sense money-wise. I don't know what your pet's other stats are but 700 books are plenty for that job. Then when you're ready you can make the shift to SAI (as I assume you want to do).

I bookmarked a thread with all the stats on jobs - I'll edit this post when I find it.

Edit: Here is the Job Agency thread that was super helpful to me.

thanks for the tip!

thanks, didn't know this feature!

thanks for explaining! I'm not a big battler so I didn't know

will do, thanks for your info! I'm still figuring out what jobs to get for each pet, so I guess I have some research to do
