Can the Snowtapult not choose those who have blocked me? After clicking the Random button, I received a notice that I will receive an Official Warning if I continue to harass the user chosen by the Random choice. However, I have no control on which user the Random button will choose. I don't want to lose my account over something I have no control over. This is an issue, since I am trying to achieve the "Throw a Snowball" achievement of 50,000 snowballs thrown.
3/1/2019 I just received the following notice again. I don't even know who the user blocking me is.
Oh No! Oh No! This user has blocked you 😢! That means most interaction with this user will be impossible. Harassing this user will result in an official warning.
That's ridiculous. It's not your fault if the Random option chooses people who have blocked you.
Eeesh, yeah that seems like something that really should be taken into account. :/
I mean, you don't get an event for having a snowball thrown at you any more. At least I haven't gotten any all season and I've been a banana unicorn for what feels like the entirety of January. So they don't exactly know it was you specifically that threw the snowball.
It still seems like there should definitely be a way for the random showball/dance/trick-or-treat options (plus any future ones) to filter out blocked users.
If you're not allowed to interact with them according to the rules, it's absolute bullshit for the random options to allow you to accidentally interact with them.
[edit]I'M A DERP. pointed out below that you still do get the message that someone threw a snowball at you, I just had it removed with customCSS.
That's bull. It shouldn't be counted against you since it's random.

As it's happened to you twice it might be worth making out a ticket.
If you need somebody to toss a snowball at, you can just toss them at me (I think you've hit me twice as it is anyway) and ignore the random button until this get reviewed. It shouldn't be counting against you at all.
I wonder if random TOT counts against you too.
Yeah this is something that I really feel was overlooked, and it's not your fault if the random option has chosen a person who has blocked you. I agree that as it's happened twice you may want to skip the random option for now and file a ticket so you don't get a warning.
Also I'm with Avel - feel free to toss them at me, I don't care too much. At least until this gets resolved and you're sure you won't get a warning out of randomly tossing at someone who's blocked you because you're 'harassing' them.
Actually, you do get a sort of event. I've seen it a couple times. It's like a line of red text at the top of the page you're on that says who threw it, but it only shows up once and goes away if you refresh the page.
@ Lin Aha! Thank you for telling me! I've checked my customCSS just now and I've had a little bit of code to hide that message. :'D Explains why I haven't been seeing it. All the more reason to have blocked users filtered out, then!
This sounds like it is a bug that should be reported via ticket. I'd avoid the random button for now. Feel free to throw snowballs at me.
Thanks for reporting this! It's a glitch with the code that makes sure you don't snowball a blocked user.
A fix is being worked on now. You can continue using the Random option in the meantime; you are not at any risk of getting in trouble here.
[edit] And it should be fixed now. Well not completely fixed, but the error message you get is less scary and doesn't make it sound like your fault anymore.
(Basically: the original error message was part of a change that was made after some users pointed out you could accidentally snowball someone you blocked via the random option. An update was made to prevent that, but we overlooked that the default error message for trying to interact with a blocked user is kind of.. threatening. Ideally we'd just have it not randomly choose blocked users, but that's a bit complicated for reasons I won't get into here, so for now I've changed this to have a nicer message in the chance it happens again.)

, thank you for letting us know about this glitch! I'll continue OCDing with throwing snowballs (which I know will take a few more years to get to the top tier of 50,000). I still have thousands of snowballs yet to buy, but that will have to wait until I throw what I currently have on hand.
Thank YOU for letting us know about it <3 I wouldnt have noticed the problem otherwise.
And yeah haha... that's one of the most grueling achievements we have imo T_T Good luck !!
