INTERNATIONAL EMBROIDERY MONTH

National Embroidery Month in February recognizes the talented stitchers who put needle and thread into an art form. The beautiful craft itself dates back to 30,000 B.C. and historically points to origins in the Orient and Middle East, where we see the art form behind each design. Embroidering anything takes time, patience, and a lot of attention to detail and if you handcraft one of your own designs, you´ll certainly cherish it forever.

Private Outfit

The shy little koi spirit swam around in the pond among the many normal fishes and pond creatures. Umbeknownst to the rest of the forest, once the sun goes down the shy koi spirit transforms into her humanoid form upon the first touch of moonlight.

On the pond's edge she waits for her lover who is forced to lie in wait in the deepest shadows of the forest's edge. For the moment the moonlight touches their skin, they begin to disappear into mist.

I love embroidery. I'm learning myself though. I choose this one. I like the color palette and I don't know why but it gives me a certain melancholy.

I picked this Outfit Not Found the subtle warmth is what I wanted to catch during the process of making this HA, and I tried to mimic the flowery pattern with the background and the skirt, hope you like it :)

I chose the gestickter Fuchs, which I have no idea what that means but I liked the fox. I thought it was a lovely embroidery. Outfit Not Found

I chose the giraffe bust! Private Outfit I felt I should keep it without a background to emulate the original embroidery... I hope that's satisfactory! It was really difficult finding all those flowers that were the right colors and places!

i'm probably going to do several because i couldn't pick... but for starters, this inspired me to make a cute lil lesbian ^-^

i did this one for my second entry, i love the colour scheme! the description on the image said it was part of a body of work on the subject of mental illness, so i also used that concept here.

Second entry! I did the dancing kitties this time! Private Outfit I did the white kitty, cause I couldn't find enough to make the other colors look good before I had to go to bed >_< But I like how it turned out anyway! Her smile turned out soft yet genuine, i think... :3
