My first infection was Buzzkill - when the process was completed I removed the skin and signed up for a new one yesterday. The VIP page says - Thanks for participating in the Volunteer Infection Program! - You've still got some time to wait, but you will receive an event once you've received your chosen virus!

I haven't had the event and nothing shows up at the Healer. When I go to the Alcove, though, I'm allowed in and can craft items. (I made 3 to double check and will put them in my vault for now)

Does anyone know if this is a bug?

This might be a bug, I'm not sure. I took off my lobomeat skin and I'm only a very partial butterfly bruise, but he also accepted me. If I remember right I'm pretty sure the alchove doesn't let you in until you reach the biting stage, which is stage 6+. I could be wrong though and maybe he lets you in immediately. Though without an infection at all, you shouldn't have been let in.
