Maybe this is a silly question, but I'm dying to know because I hate being annoying.

So, I know that when you edit a post, it will ping a group every single time that you edit. What I'm wondering, is if it also re-pings users?

it's not supposed to do that? I know it doesn't for users. You have to Edit it twice once to unping and again to reping.

So if I edit this post like, six times with you pinged in it, it would only ping you the once unless I edit the ping itself? (Like, separating the @ from your name in one edit, and then bringing them back together in another edit?

(I have no idea if it's supposed to always ping groups or not, I just know have heard that it does.)

I think it pings every other edit you make, whether you do what I suggested or not. The advice I gave you was to make it so you can reping immediately on the same post with just one edit. If you feel you're gonna make a lot of edits and care about spamming folks, separate the @ from the ping with a space and then Preview it to be sure what it says over and over again and then only post it with the space removed when you're sure.
