I don't know if this is possible, but I'd like to suggest it either way. As someone really sensitive with blisters/burned skin, Survival has always been a holiday I avoided being online for, mainly because I can't fully get away from other user's zombie skins. You see, I don't mind many of the strains - I actually am infected with one right now. But some of them really make me anxious, and I'm starting to think it was a bad call to stick around to this holiday.

What I am proposing is an option in the User Preferences to disable zombie/zapper skins from showing? I know there's already an option that prevents you from seeing them in preview hover, but I'd like to know if there was a way to prevent them from showing everywhere. I understand if that's not something plausible, however. I really just felt like I needed to at least try.

There is already an option to turn off the display of full HA's in forums, which might help. It might not be exactly what you're looking for, but it also might be better than nothing:

I get what you're saying, though. A secondary filter that just blocks skins rather than one that blocks ALL the avatars.

Thank you... I discovered about that option earlier today thanks to another board, and I disabled them... but it's kind of a bummer to have to avoid the whole avatars because of that. Also, it doesn't work for the shoutbox, so I'm still accidentaly having to see some virus strains that make me super uncomfortable :/

It's not removing survival skins and you'll miss the fashion show, but using this during the holiday will help you dodge the body horror without having to completely avoid the site (and participate in the kissing for currency).

While I am personally not affected by any of the virus strain images I would totally support such an option and I hope that staff will consider it if it's possible to code that.

Yeah this sounds like a good idea tbh, I'm not bothered by gore or body horror but even I was a little shocked when I saw how gory the red strain is :x People should DEFINITELY be allowed to just... Not see the strains if they're upset by them

With things like graveyard pets, the name alone tells you what to expect, and you can use customCSS or adblock to remove them. Zombie skins, especially brand new ones? Not so much.

I mean, we had the option to opt out of organ harvesting, so why not this?

Yes please! I'd definitely use it! Any zombie strain besides Baker's Kiss is something I wouldn't mind turning off after a couple days. :P
