I think I might have found an answer to my question but I'd like confirmation if anyone can help. I didn't get much sleep last night and my brain is very fuzzy.

My HA shows what I look like now. When I go to the Voluntary Infection Program I'm told I can now bite people. I'm also classed as a zombie when I got to The Alchove so I could craft something if I wanted to. My appearance also shows up when I go to the Healer.

My current skin doesn't show up in the wardrobe - I've just got an ordinary base. From what I remember about other infections, each stage would show up on the wardrobe base.

Click Here To Remove Skin doesn't work and my current appearance doesn't show up in my list of skins so I'm guessing I haven't reached the final stage yet. This is fair enough but I'd like to play around with dressing my current appearance and this is impossible when I just have an ordinary, plain base.

PS I found this in another topic -

Strain is not showing up in the wardrobe.
The wardrobe does not show virus strains. You can see your naked HA base at the Healer if you don&;t want to take all your clothes off.

You’re up to stage 6 of your strain. I’m assuming there will be 8 stages as usual this year, so your strain has not reached its full evolution yet and you can’t remove it until it does.

You can start biting others or use the alcove by stage 5 or 6 (I don’t recall exactly), even when your strain is incomplete.

It’s a shame that evolving strains don’t show up in the wardrobe. :c We can only hope that that feature will be added in the future.

Thanks for the help.

I know my brain is fuzzy but I got the Clusterflux virus last year and I think all the stages showed up in the wardrobe as it progressed. I vaguely remember putting lipstick and eye makeup on a couple of earlier stages and wishing we could keep them as individual skins because I liked the result.

PS: I'm now wearing a previously saved outfit so my HA is no longer just showing what my virus looks like.

Mm, I could have sworn that evolving viruses did show up at some point previously but Bug is swearing blind that that was never the case so I wondered if my mind was playing tricks on me. xD Not seeing the strain certainly prevents me from bothering to change my HA to fit the strain.

Either way, I’m hoping the feature gets added to the new wardrobe, at least for next year.

The strains never showed when you "saved an outfit" - but I'm pretty sure they did used to show in the wardrobe. Last year I remember working on outfits that were very highly dependent on how the stage looked.

I also have a skin question, I picked the wrong virus and I want to switch to Lobotomeat :( how can I do this? am I too far down the infection progression to switch?

Go to the VIP and see if the cure button exists - if it does you can start over. If not, you'll just have to wait for your current virus to mature and pick Lobotomeat as your second virus.

The way I found around this was to post in one of the kissing threads, wait a minute until the thread had moved on a few pages, then change stuff in the wardrobe and then refresh that post to see how it looked on the avatar's infection skin.

That way I can mix and match in the wardrobe while seeing the effects on the av out in the forums. It's not the most convenient method, but it does work.

Thanks for the tip. It would be useful for the first two stages of Grosseries aka Green if I choose that as my second one.
