I'm not sure what color(s) of blob you're hoping for, but it is often cheaper to use a species-colored elixir on a pet and then transforming them into a blob . Whatever color the pet is when transformed, it will retain that color as long as it exists in blob. (Same for qrykee and yaherra - that's how I got Adagio and Vibrato the way they are, after a bunch of zapping for any species of the right color.) Just FYI in case you don't find what you're looking for. :)

Thanks! I did that with one of them, I adopted a pet with a name I liked and then zapped and used an elixer. =)
