Hey lovelies!
So recently I've been coming across various symptoms and some days are better or worse than others, I have a doctor that I don't feel like I can trust due to previous experiences, and just generally have no idea whether I'm being over the top. Is what I'm feeling actually a symptom, or is it because I've read about it online and think "that's exactly what I'm experiencing" then subconsciously make it seem worse than it actually is?
I've been experiencing what I would consider unusual sensations for a long time now, like 6 months to even a year? Maybe longer? I've never kept a record unfortunately.
Now, last night in particular was what's making me significantly more curious about whether I may be diabetic. Firstly for some background info: Sunday I had an intense personal training session and my legs have been quite achy the past few days. Monday I was back at work for the first time in a week - full 9 hour day (I work retail so the entire shift is on my feet moving around). I was snacking on grapes the entire day, had an oat slice around midday, then a rice bowl for lunch. By the time my shift finished I was getting pretty tired, more tired than usual, which I put down to being achy. I fell asleep on the couch by 9:30pm then I woke and went to bed and had roughly 10 hours sleep. For reference I usually sleep around 11pm and wake at 7:30am. Anyway again I worked all day tuesday and felt pretty sluggish most of the day, but I got loads of work done around the store. I forgot to bring grapes, but I ate my oat slice mid morning, then had an awful wrap for lunch. Went to the gym after work and did my usual 1.5 hour session on what I will admit was not enough food. Ate dinner when I got home and immediately felt quite fatigued. Went to sleep at 10pm and woke at 7:30am. Wednesday I felt fatigued and lethargic the entire day. I felt a craving for a "meat box" which is admittedly a really awful meal (haha) and after eating half of that I felt bloated the entire afternoon - I consumed that at 1pm and didn't eat again until 8pm when I forced food down my throat. By around 8pm I started feeling a headache coming on, when I got up to make food I felt vertigo and nausea. I felt an intense need to pee, then after that I had to pee frequently. I couldn't manage to do a poo at all despite feeling the need to. I took two panadol and sat on the couch with my boyfriend for an hour and still felt vertigo. I could lie down without feeling like the whole world was spinning and feeling like I would vomit (vomiting is extremely rare for me as I haven't done so in at least 5 years). Around 11pm we went to bed and while my vertigo sensation was a little better I still had to sleep with an extra pillow to elevate my head as lying down flat still felt like everything was spinning. Today I still feel lethargic, but no headache yet and no dizziness.
This is obviously only one event but I'm a little concerned. Does anyone have reason to believe this could be diabetic symptoms? Or something else entirely? Obviously I should go to a doctor and get checked out, but I would love to have some discussion with others before doing so because of my poor experiences with doctors in the past.
SORRY ABOUT THE SUPER LONG POST OMG
Edit: I went to my regular doctor and he's put the symptoms down to grieving the loss of my grandma last week. He also said if I still have many of these symptoms 6 weeks from now that there's reason to believe it's something else. sigh
Go to a different doctor. Don't go looking for a diagnosis on forums.

If you read what I posted I specifically said "Obviously I should go to a doctor and get checked out, but I would love to have some discussion with others before doing so because of my poor experiences with doctors in the past." There's nothing wrong with looking for constructive discussions with others. But thank you for your not so useful input shrug
edit: Just to be clear I'm not looking for a diagnosis on a forum LOL, I'm just wanting to discuss what I'm experiencing with someone.
I have most, if not all of your symptoms and I am far from being diabetic. I do have an autoimmune disease and severe anemia. But that's about it!
The vertigo and fatigue sound like Epstein Barr to me. I have EB as well as thyroid disease and have some similar symptoms. In any case you should ask for a referral to a specialist for further testing to rule out anything serious.
First I do agree to get a second opinion from another doctor. One who hasn't seen you or knows the medical history can give you a fresh look over vs one who may think they know you and brush things off.
Secondly its really hard to say what's going on. So many basic symptoms of many things are similar. It could be you're about to become ill with a heavy cold or flu. I myself am on the hopeful tail end of a cold that's kicked my butt. Fevers at night to where I soaked my clothes and bed. I am NOT a hot sleeper by any means. Lost my appetite and the flavor of many dishes changed. Felt lethargic after simply slicing a bucket of potatoes at work. I usually can work all day and stay up several hours after a shift. So it can be hard to say.
My suggestion is to take note of things now. After you eat something what does it seem to affect? Do you consider the diet you eat now good or balanced in any way? When you have to pee more is it directly after having consumed fluids or some time after? Some headaches get triggered by foods. Did you know that the little like hinge nub on a peanut can trigger migraines for some people? So maybe some of your foods could be headache triggers for you. The tiredness can also be diet related. Also are you on any other meds currently?
I suggest you keep a food log and a symptom log to help monitor your fluctuations and when you feel most normal for you as of late. When you make an appointment with the second doctor stress that you want to know if your headaches, dizziness and tired feelings are related. They may do a blood draw and that can tell quite a bit.
FINALLY GOT THE 15K WARDROBE DONE!!!!! Next up gutting and selling it.
