So there is the definition of zombies in the world I created. I wanted to make it so my per Stimulant was trying to revive her sister and ended up making a zombie, which would be my pet Unclean. The thing is that Unclean identifies as male but has the body of the sister, which would make him trans. Would that be considered something offensive? I'm trans myself so I though a trans zombie could be cute, but I also don't want to offend anyone >.>

Nah, I don't think so. I'm a trans guy myself, and I'm not bothered by it. I think it's interesting, anyway--the concept of a new person sort of "taking over" the corpse is pretty cool, and it's pretty likely that there'd be some discrepancies between gender and sex.

I'm as straight as one can be and I see no issue with this story concept. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't being trans feeling like your outer you isn't the true you? So I personally can't id with that exact feeling, but would you be bothered by a story written out of this concept? If no then make your target plots and write it up. If at any point you'd feel bothered maybe rewrite or change that part? Unless it was needed to get a point through to another character perhaps?

Some key questions I have though: What do these zombies do once abandoned? Do they think of their own will or become mindless? The male brought back in the females body.... Does he feel like her? Her thoughts? Or past memories? I'm curious how you'll flesh out this zombie!

You see, the zombie is an entirely new life form, so they have no connection to the person whose dead body belonged to. They usually die within a week or two due to their bodies rotting (I added that later), unless a mage is there to keep healing their bodies.

what an interesting zombie idea o.o so, if the new person/soul resides in the dead body, and there's no connection between the two, it's highly likely that at times a person of opposite gender would occupy it. i don't see how this would be offensive.

what i don't like is that the mage would abandon the failed resurrection and then the zombie would die. this kinda makes me cry T-T (if i understood correctly)

I'm bi so I can only speak for me. I ran your idea by a trans friend of mine to see if they would be offended and he said that it sounds like a pretty cool idea! He did have some questions though.

Does the Zombie realize he's in a girls body? (Some zombies have no thoughts other than brains he said) Does the mage abandon him because he's not the sister? (If so he said he would cry) Has the zombie lived a different life before or is he a totally new entity?

he does know, he has complex thoughts just like humans! The mage does abandon him but he finds another one willing to do the maintenance on his body :). Totally new! Thats why its considered taboo to make a zombie, because its creating a new life.

You are worried if you are offended. I don't think so. If there can be trans zombies there can be also zombies with gender x. No problem.
