It's still insanely hard to earn points on the site without feeling repetitive strain. Re-stocking system is awful. The lag... Oh the lag...

I won't be complaining about subetas lag anytime soon, that's for sure!

Why are all the systems sooo out dated?

Neopets was taken over by Jumpstart and the site has been shit ever since. They don't listen to their userbase, they play favorites with their userbase by unfreezing people who have broken rules, yet will make other users wait a lifetime to answer their ticket when they haven't done anything wrong to get frozen in the first place. Unless you are greasing their palms with money it is impossible to get anywhere on the site without putting in hours of work that wont matter in the end especially if someone decides your account is nice enough to steal from, because yes, that is STILL happening as well. I log on just to change my password every so often, throw my pets in the lodge, and then never look back until the next event or plot that happens. And don't even get me started on the converted/unconverted pet drama that is happening right now. Its a MESS.

I don't think I'll be logging back in again.. At least for another few years when nostalgia comes kicking again. Ahh nostalgia, such a fun thing right?

ahhhhh, every now and then I think about joining neopets again, but I always convince myself out of it because I know it's not going to feel the same as it did when I played it when I was younger

Even though its been long enough I could reuse a particular name, its the principle for why I left.

I'd have more luck finding the kids meal toy in the right color.

But my talking plush has the record for age, 15 years last September.

I'm technically still on Neo, but I only ever log on to do dailies, and then I'm paranoid I'll get frozen if I interact with anyone. That's no way to play, IMHO.

I still miss neo sometimes, or at least how things used to be when I was younger. I practically lived on that site as a teen lol.

But then one of my best friends who I talked to every day got frozen for no good reason, a few of my other friends just stopped playing, and the side accounts I had got hacked/stolen from, so I changed my main account's info so much that I don't even remember enough to log back in to it at all, or even if I can.

But I at least take comfort that no one can steal from it like that, I suppose. Last I checked, my pets were all still there, unconverteds and all.

I met one of my best friends on neo too, thankfully we still speak to each other at least once a week, 14 year old friendship :) At least I can thank neo for that, I'll be the maid of honor at her wedding next year too <3

Admittedly I've been playing the site, especially more so in the past few months. I use Google Chrome's adblock so I would not have to deal with the ads. I understand they have premium to have as a perk to remove the ads, but the amount of ads they have where you would lag while playing games and even just browsing is ridiculous. It's like they're desperate.

Neopets was owned by Nickelodeon at one point (personally not a fan of and I think that's when the site started to go downhill anyway.) Now JumpStart owns it and they have been lazy on trying to fix any errors and complaints of people who were wrongly iced, cannot login and having captchas that are completely unnecessary for parts of the site.

Also in part as to why I've rejoined on here even though I have thought about it a few times in the past since at least here there's nostalgia-look with far less commercialism wreaking havoc (in my opinion) where you can still progress in the game even if you don't buy anything. On Neopets it's becoming more 'pay-to-play' to even have some basic perks, and the payout for it is not really worth it. I don't mind buying some things every now and again but for them to expect people to keep buying just to essentially play the site is a bit ridiculous. I know one other site that's doing something similar and it's pretty much dead, and Neopets might be going down that route as well.
