Oh I feel silly for not knowing this, but is there an area or forum I can research 'pet ranking' on? I've been trying to find a forum post or something to look into the 'importance' of them ahh especially since I've gotten into storyboarding my pets more!

I thought it had to do something with aesthetics? But I don't know what it's influence by or what -makes- that rank the number it is.

Ranking is basically how trained a pet is. The more they read and get trained the higher it goes up. All pets at base stats start off the same number with pets ranked up to spot 1. You can go to the About Subeta link found at the bottom of all pages and click on stats from there. Check it out its pretty neat

Oh thank you so much!! My brain just wasn't understanding it for some odd reason. I thought it was influenced by pet species/when the pet was made, so my mind was trying to figure out if I should change some of the pets species/if the pet ranking would stop me since I really enjoyed some of their numbers.

you can read a lot and train a lot and your rank may or may not go up. Therefore it's not necessarily a reflection of how trained your pet is in total. Rank is a relative term so if someone else is also reading a lot and training a lot, your rank will not go up in relation to theirs.

Right now there's a stat-cap. It's very high, but I have a pet that I have had for years that is nearing it. There is a point beyond which it won't matter if your stats are the same as another pet, because they got there first.
